  10. years ago on a cold winters morning ,i watched as my mate struggled to push his front rod rest in the ground in the edge of the lake. when i was ready to put my front bankstick in i too struggled then all of a sudden it just went really easy, over the top of it i went head first into the lake.It was shallow in the edge but dropped straight off into about 4ft of water.as you can imagine i was soaked and freezing wet everyone was laughing apart from me. Just goes to show you really have to be careful even doing the simple things
  11. It wont matter what lake it is , if you introduce your bait throughout the year so it becomes a natural food source then you will catch all year round (as long as it is a quality bait/ food source) Location is always the key no matter what the time of year , but as tewesferrerter has said location and being at the lake when the much shorter window of feeding happens is the most important part of it.

  14. For small particles like hemp & Redband (pigeon food) just bring to the boil and then allow them to cool off in the same water, bicarbonate of soda can be added to hemp to make it turn black and help it to split. Harder particles like tiger nuts & peanuts must be soaked for 24 hours and then boiled for 30 minutes, again allowing them to cool off in the same water. I always try to store the particles with as much of the cooking water as possible - it contains a lot of attractive oils. If I’m using a groundbait with the particles, I’ll use the water to mix with the groundbait. T

  16. 1/ how much for the 2 x delkims including p+p mate? 2/ and which solar pod is it? 3/ 2 x daiwa bait runners 4/ how much end tackle is there? thanks

  18. I use a good bait throughout the spring summer autum and winter if you use a good bait which is made to be used all year round , then all you do is keep the bait going in so as the carp keep on the move looking for what will now seem there natural food source i use carp company Icelandic red cranberry and caviar works all year round , i start my baiting campaign off in march at about 1kg spread about the lake and gradually up the amount until about May through to October when i will try to visit the lake 3-4 times a week putting in 3kg-4kg a week then start easing off on the amount as it
