    Best book i have read and i have read it 3 times A Poachers Tale by Fred J Speakman maybe its because i have grown up in the areas that he writes about that makes it better for me but i really enjoyed reading it

    In my syndicate lakes Essex the record is just over 9lb with eels between 5lb and 7lb visiting the banks regular . Most eels are caught using boilies but the bigger ones come out on dead baits meant for the catfish

    Local knowledge is the most important thing you need ask about the lake in your tackle shop and people who fish it this will let you know what the best bait , swim ,time of day etc

    Its at the back i think mate the Nash baitrunners are really poor mate should have asked for advice on here i hope you got them really cheap , a second hand shimano baitrunner is what you should hav gone for , maybe a little bit more money but they will last
