mostly a hob, have a jill there thats not too bad neither. Shes more of a bolter. I love the digging and the hob is coming along lovely. The digs arent very deep so it doesnt take long to get down to the rabbit.
I had a sandy hob I got of a member of the forum, turned out very good ferret.Got a few good years out of him. Ive an albino hob and hes flying so far this season, the way I like it.Hes getting me a couple of diggs, not too deep.
Yeah its great for the kids. They love it. My youngest fella loves rabbit stew. Hes the fifth and last kid so hopefully I get him out for a few more years before the spots, hair gel and girls come along.
Lovely looking pups, they went to the right home. Ive had similar experiences to yourself to do with the glenns. The messing I had with 2 pups from time wasters. They ended up going to the UK to the home I think they where ment to go. The fella has them in great nick and a credit to him. He deserves the sire of the pups attitude and working ability to come out in the pups for him. Hes a good bloke. Circumstances chenged a couple of years ago and I had to cut back on some dogs. A working bitch a fella was getting for pittence the effort I put into the bitch. People think the worse of us all bec
Out again this morning for a few hours with the young lad. Burrows are still full of cover and stingers. Came accross some baby bunnies small enough to pass through the holes in the nets. Got a couple for the pot. The young lad brought one of his mates. His first time out and 2 rabbits he was loveing it.
great to get the kids into it. My eldest daughter loved it.Shes 18 and into nails and lashes now.She enjoyed a few good years of ferreting. My youngest daughter wasnt as keen on the ferreting but she still came along. Great times and memmories for the kids. Good man

Didnt think I had red mite.At the end of the breeding season I dose my cages and birds before painting my cages. Well I gave poultry shield a go. As a sign of red mite the water turns green,so in cages I didnt think I had mites in when I sprayed them the water turned green as an indicator. In the future weather I see mites or not I will give parts of the cages a quick spray to see if the water turns green.Hopefull it doesnt turn green. It kills the mites aswell.

Looking for a young sandy coloured hob for my son.I have albino workers myself. His first ferret when he was younger was a sandy hob. He is 10 now and it would be great to surprise him with a sandy hob.Hopefully a kit if possible. He got a good few years and loads of rabbits from his old hob.I live in Dublin.
Talking to the oldest son. He was saying a mate of his ferret came out of a burrow with an orange patch on the back of its neck. When they looked closer they where little orange mites. The next day the ferret walked as if its 2 front legs where locked, twisted and badly bowed. It got worse over a couple of days and the ferret ended up dead. Does anyone know what the little mites are.
