  5. Personally am one who does subscribe to a Magizine and my choice is Airgun World. I preffer Phil Hardmans articals over Eddie Jone`s from airgunner. I am a hunter mainly with occasional fun plinking and once or twice in a year get over to a HFT course for some light hearted fun and have found the Airgun world the most suited to me. The forums are great but not so viable for reading when on a car or train journey or for kicking your feet up with a brew to browse on a work time lunch break. I can currently acess most forums at work but have just lost access to one (PW) and am sure the others ar
  6. Good video Gary, goes to show yo dont need to be tooled up to the eye balls with unnessarsary kit and gimics ! ATB Matt
  7. Car keys: Car key, Padlock key for gun security cable in the boot ! House Keys on a small caribeana: Front door key, back door key, Spare key for DS MK4, pellet key fob, work draw key!
  8. Sam, As your the resident expert on the blade tech can you help me with the follwoing...... I use a blade tech on my opinel (hi-carbon) and it works great but when I use it on my victornox filleting knife and my other kitchen knives it feels like its dragging and ripping at the metal of the blade, the knife is sharp at the end but when you hold the knife to the light and inspect the blade you can see little chips/ missing peices ! Does it matter what type of metal your blade is made of when using a blade-tech ? ATB Matt
  9. Ive just got myself a bottle of LT1 pellet lube! Ive never even inspected pellets before shooting but a mate who does bell target shooting and hunting swears by washing and lubing with this stuff ! So what says you ? Does it imrove your accuracy/consistancy ? Does it keep your barrel cleaner ? ATB Matt
  10. Mines an odd one really. Shes supports me with everything and doesnt stop me doing anything except dont shoot bambi(thats any deer species) Fortunately she has been bought up around clay shooting which has soffened her a bit, she even has her own SGC. Occasionally she will have ago with my 20bore mossberg on clays. Shes also a fantastic shot with a rifle ! How ever.......Shooting anything living, while she doesnt stop me she makes it clear she doesnt like it esp as shes a veggie. I can take dead stuff home but i have to leave it in the shed and do my butchering in there ! The other gripe
  11. Great shooting there Si, good to see another video from you. I just cant see the apeal of those Edgar Brothers XVI`s ! Although fair play it seems purfectly accurate enough for the job. ATB Matt
  12. Of those two the remmi every time ! Duncan laughton won a big title shooting one about 10 years or so ago ! Great bit of kit. I personally go Benelli though as i prefer inertia systems over gas as they are more simple and esy to clean, also dead reliable ! ATB Matt
  13. As above really I am just curious to see what people have found to be the most accurate HP pellet ? I know domed pellets have always been king for accuracy over distance and its what I normally use, But there are fair few different profiles of head on the HP pellets ive seen so far ! Some more domed than others. I tryed H&N Baracuda Hunter (Domed/HP) 18.21Grn but despite apperaing to be very well made they didnt group well in my Huntsman. But am curious about crossman hollow points, as they look fairly domed ! So whats been your findings ? ATB Matt
  14. Get a Daystate Huntsman classic in .177,.20 or .22 and be sorted sor a very long time. Mor intital out lay but it will be money saved by the time you have bought others insted and kept swapping and losing money ! Daystate all the way, great product and great support. Also paired with a MTC scope you will have a brillient tool for both pest control and target shooting ! ATB Matt
  15. .22 FAC 30FTLB - I personally use AA Feild domed and JSB Domed both 16 grainers (15.89 or what ever) not the jumbos that are 18grain i think. I tryed 3 different H&N, Bisley magnums and RWS but the above 2 were by far the best ! Ive just washed and lubed a few to too see if that helps anymore ! ATB Matt
  16. Daystate Huntsman in .22 ! Cheapest rifle in there range but a high quallity rifle above so many competitors ! 20 shots in the field is more than enough for 99% of shooters and the huntsman will give you 30, or go huntsman XL and get even more. keep it light and comfortable to carry ! No need for big bottles. ATB Matt
  17. Surely am not the only one who thinks this is all a load of rubbish.....Am I ? All calibres (.177,.20,.22.25) in sub 12ftlb variation are fine for uk air rifle quarry. All will do the job fine when used correctly and accurately its just each calibre has its own charictoristics that you need to learn and master ! I dont belive there is one purfect calibre or one better than the others myself, pros and cons with all. On the flip side of it a guy I know who is a CF and rimmy shooter really believes that sub 12ftlb air guns shouldnt be allowed on any live quarry. Horses for courses s
  18. Definately putting me to shame, I keep wussing out of the cold and wet in favour of a warm comfy sofa ! But I do intend to get a grip and get out ! Excellent bag there to ! Atb Matt
  19. Davey looks 10 years younger without the tash ! Good video and good shooting guys and girls
  20. Very nice rifle that, very jellous ! All am missing from my Daystate collection now is a modle with a buddy bottle !
  21. The rubish work PC wouldnt display it ! never mind, trust Iphone sorted that ! Very funny lol
  22. As Rob said, go for a Benelli ! Far better and i have and recomend the M2 !
  23. Surely its the land owner who will own the sporting rights to the land and not the allotment renters or there assosiation ! Sadly you cant buy a box of common sense to gift the daft old bat either ! Good luck !
