  1. All mine jump well, a collie/grey 2 bull/greys and an ex track grey at 4 year old who clears any fence, gate the same as the lurchers, patience and confidence building will get any dog jumping usually!
  2. Wouldn't mind a nice pile of bunnies like that myself, well done to ya
  3. Really enjoyed reading that tyla, sounds like you had a decent night and good to hear that parker is doing well considering, amazing how dogs learn to adapt with their disabilitys, the pups look grand to!
  4. Two of mine have them but id much prefer them off as the older one has ripped the nails off a few times and it's a right pain in the arse! I'd remove them if i had a litter!
  5. Mine will try and eat horse/cow/sheep/rabbit shit and look as though they are enjoying it highly until i shout at them if that fails my foot up their arse lol. Only gotta say leave it and job done, til im walking infront of them.............also roll in fox shite and any dead rotting animal they come across  Dogs eh we gotta love em and then they come and give you a massive lick on the lips when you least expect it
  6. So sorry for your loss mate, no matter how they go it never gets easier, been through it myself and it is a heart breaker but you gotta keep your chin up and start again in time, all the best and r.i.p molly.

  9. Its true then YOU are definatly the THL clown stick to peddling pups out of greyhounds a proper dog man you will never be just another muppet that keeps running dogs:doh: yes thats the one poach i peddle out of greyhounds lol, you like lurcher to lurcher i like to keep it simple. sometimes i think that you think you invented the lurcher. lol hopper  there you go again dell talking utter shite about summat you no nothing about  i seen this bitch running the other week and she aint all that bad imo yes she will be limited to what she can do but she will have her uses
  10. Aww thankyou LL, i am the same to be honest, losing my pup Ammo last year really made me think, it hit me hard and i felt like giving up working dogs altogether but in a way he made me stronger, i would much rather take the risk of my dogs going out working and dying prematurely doing what they loved than being cooped up indoors and die a premature death through obesity and all the problems that come with it. Me and Leah have had a tough few months together and at times has been testing but she has come through stronger than i thought she would and i can only hope she improves but whatever the

  13. I like the idea of a bull/whippet personally, if the right parents are used i think you could have a quick powerfull dog in a small package. They would cost less to feed, take up less room, be quick enough for most stuff and be game enough for others but what do i know i've never owned one and probably never will Oh and a muscly strong whippet looks better to the 5o than a big strapping bull/grey
  14. Exactly what im doing, i am in no rush with her and i never know she may surprise me, i know full well it could end up in tears but that can happen with any working dog.
  15. f*****g ell i never said i was going to take her out 5 nights a week for 4 hour sessions did i??? Obviously i know how far she can go and she has the will power. I said i will give her a go and see what she CAN do, theres no harm in trying, my bloody dog i'll do what i like with her, she will just require more rest than normal, and besides she's not going to need to do much running in the first place! There's no harm in trying, at least i haven't taken her out at 6 month old expecting miracles! Get a grip! Thanks all for the positive feedback
  16. if they are there at night time ..they are there through the day ....maybe not big numbers like at night but they are there ...they just take a bit more finding a bit more work and walking .... If it was legal then i'd happily walk miles for a good daytime hare, the chopper and land owners would be on top of me if i went near the ground that holds the hares during the day, if they didn't get lamped they would get shot which to me is more of a waste, each to there own and all that
  17. All this bollox about not lamping hares and respect, lets face it put a lamp on anything and it's easier than daytime
  18. Hopefully her and shayne will compliment each other
  19. Hi All, just thought id give an update on my pup, she is now 10 month old and comeing on quite well considering. She still has the occasional limp after a good run and stands on a slant but she is damn quick for a duff un lol. Her injured leg is a good 2 inches shorter than the other and the bone is thinner than the other so im guessing it stopped growing when injured but despite this she gives her all and it doesn't really bother her at all, she is showing really good potential, takeing an interest in what the other dogs are doing now and is always on the look out for soemthing to chase and a

  21. Emigrate to ireland, nice cottage by a river surrounded by fields, get a nice mitsubishi warrior for the dogs and a nice little sports car for ones self, before doing all that id sort my family out with a few dollar, then id set up my own rescue kennels for greyhounds and lurchers as i've always wanted to do that! But one can always dream.....................
  22. The only way to get a hare around was to lamp them! You would see next to f**k all in the daytime, switch on the lamp and you lost count! The only people who don't like hares being lamped are the old coursers, can't bet on a lamped hare can ye lol. As long as your going to eat it what does it matter, still gives the dog a good sprint out imo.
