  2. Found it..... It was not full of tyres and water when I used to visit it. I dunno why they removed it, it's a shame!

  4. on one of my north yorkshire perms theres a concrete structure with 2 rooms. one was the engine room with dynamo - the other held a fold out light signalling the way to the nearby runway for returning planes.
  5. this one was like a long underground pig ark, with an escape hatch at the far end if i remember rightly. there was a few beer cans in there.

  7. well last weekend i fancied a wander to my old childhood haunts with the dogs and a friend, top on my list was to visit an old large mill buildings bomb shelter. i knew the mill had been knocked down and a housing estate was now on there but looking at google maps I knew the old bomb shelter was away from the new houses. armed with my torch and after a long winded introduction to my friend when we got there it had been removed I dont know why it was removed it is not even near the new houses but its a pice of british history to me anyway.   8. for me its usually only once a week at the weekend, but I have to work 1 in 3 weekends so cant go sometimes. if I have a weeks holiday I have been 5 days in a row before occasionally ill go after work - sometimes you need to get out so bad you find a way!

  10. It's a test of your honesty as the FAO will rock up at the interview with your conviction history (if any), including cautions and that includes cautions you may have received as a kid. All these wife's tales that cautions only stay on record for five years is nonsense. It all stays on your record. Permanently! In my interview I was asked about when I got pulled over in the car, no arrest or problems and even that was on record. I was only pulled over for a check as a car was stolen nearby simelar to mine. That was years ago too.

When it first came out me and a mate started going fishing dressed in tweed suits bought from charity shops, we had a couple of split cane fly rods and ponced up and down many a river bank without buying a ticket lol I bought a cane/bamboo rod this year (the orientI I think its called) and took it fishing. bloody hell i couldn't cast with it and was scared of snapping it. (im useless with a modern rod too) but it was a nice feeling trying.

    I knew of a guy who got. Wren stuck in his big greenhouse. He stuck wallpaper over the glass panes and opened the windows. it saw the light and flew out of the window the same day he tried it.
