  2. It may be cheap but its lasted a long time and is indistructable, also them batteries are getting over 1 hour 20 mins continous. been using this set up ages and had no desire to get a striker or use my tracer max with handle conversion either
  3. what about one of theese lamps: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/100W-FOXING-LAMP-LAMPING-HANDHELD-LIGHT-PEST-CONTROL-UK-/200528069184?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item2eb0678240 with batteries from here: http://www.batterymasters.co.uk/Product-Ultramax-NP9-12,-12V-9Ah-with-4.8mm-0.187-Wide-Male-Spade-connection-High-Capacity-Battery-(L(mm)-W(mm)-H(mm)-151-65-98)_1377.aspx and a charger here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAMPING-LAMP-MAINS-BATTERY-CHARGER-12V-PLUG-OUTPUT-PACK-/200591687482?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item2eb4323f3a
  4. got to agree with that, the other day (while in the house) my girlfriend cleaned choclate off my lurchers foot with a babywipe and he yelped like mad, but out of the house he is fiesty as hell
  5. I had mine sent from falcon - it was a tenner if i remember rightly. to fit it you have to make sure the air cylender is COMPLETELY empty and unscrew the filling end of the air cylender (i used mole grips and some inner tube to protect the metal) and push the detwanger up the air cylender towards the hammer end (with the cup end of detwanger going in first). i pushed mine up with a lentgh of dowling and then when put back together and fired it was a massive difference as they seem to resonate for ages without one. atb tom.
  6. After fitting a silencer its well worth fitting a detwanger to your FN19 (unless it allready has one) this stops the "ping" noise from the air cylender after firing. one of theese combined with a weihrauch silencer on my old FN19 made it super quiet, you could only really hear the hammer and the impact of the pellet. atb tom.
  7. your living my dream you lucky swinebox keep us posted what you do!
  8. cripes thats awful. i hope it gets better for you. with all the respect in the world - basic gun safety procedures would not have allowed this to happen.
  9. A 60 degree wash with no soap, and then line dried is the way for myself, also used to leave the ghillie suit on a nail in the straw barn at my permission. interesting stuff about the detergent there phantom! you learn something new everyday
  10. hi there billy_wizz is this link of any help? http://falconowners.myfastforum.org/trigger_help_needed_about1709.html iv had the same problem myself once. my spring was nackered so i rang falcon and they told me to send a stamped self addressed envelope and a new one arrived for free 2 days later atb tom.
  11. very nice combo there, and wish you great sport using it
  12. both pups look very nice, your brindle pup is the spitting image of my Deerhound x pup! wish you all the best with them.
  13. looks like a fun day out. thats what its all about and a few song birds nests safer in spring too
  14. if you dont fancy a hw springer which you would have a great choice from in that price bracket and you really want a pcp then a falcon fn19 is hard to beat. they are simple, reliable and easy for diy repairs too. you would proberbly get a pump included in your your budget too. i recently baught an rws excalibure for £350 which has an 8 shot magazine and is pellet on pellet with fantastic turkish walnut woodwork and very solidly built to last too. hopefully it will hold its resale value too (this ones definately a keeper tho ) best to save up and buy a good gun first time round, or else y
