  1. If DB sat here and typed out a rebuttal, based on his interpretation. Would you even read it? If you did you wouldn't believe him, anyway. Correct?
  2. Depends on the levels of drinking. Moderate drinking is proven to benefit health. Even heavy drinkers are better off than non-drinkers. I guess if you're harming yourself then that's entirely up to the individual. They've paid enough tax into the system, through alcohol duty, and are entitled to the care they've rightfully paid for. Personally I wouldn't smoke even if it were legal, it's just not for me. But I do like a drink! The current legal status is purely a political agenda for old fart MP's who tie in cannabis with hippy degenerates. Attitudes will shift as these people retire, and
  3. We've had it up to 115ºF/46ºC this summer. A frozen hot water bottle, in the dog's bed and ice in the water bowl have worked wonders. Spray bottles and a fan too.
  4. While I don't smoke, and do drink, I have no issue with full legalisation. Having the freedom of choice for all is a good thing. It's down to the individual, but I'd argue that the vast majority of drinkers are harmless. You can look at the statistics of drink related issues and it's down to legality and availability. You will get more cases of abuse, and harm, because it's legal and available. Many drinkers will look down their noses at cannabis users because of that fact. For the record I'm against all prohibition of recreational substances. Legalising and taxing everything, across t
  5. I could write a book on the subject. In fact I could write a series of books on the subject. A volume dedicated to Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, shit I could rip the throat out of Mormonism, these days. But why? You'll never read it. Actually it would confirm your bias, so you'd probably get through the first paragraph! It was the catalyst for the whole thread! Even the guy that posted it said it was fishy. I simply said it could have been filmed by anyone, and for any reason. A gazillion posts later and the thread's descended into another THL epic! You may think i
  6. I'm fully aware of what is going on in the world. I'm quite comfortable in claiming I'm a lot more aware, than most, but I'm going to put this as simply as I possibly can. THAT VIDEO CLIP
  7. I disagree, and like I said you have put up some well thought out stuff back through time. The problem I have with reading everyone's stuff is that I don't use the forum for months at a time so all the things that happen in between I'm just not aware of. The constant threads about Islam that descend into chaos, get really old, really quick and I don't usually read them any more. Now if we want to get into my thoughts on religious faith it's for another thread. Or just pull up some of the old stuff where you'll see I'm clearly not an apologist for any organised religion. The only point I tr
  8. SCOUSERPHOBE! You're wasting your time DB. Unless you're playing to their narrative they're going to call you out as a liar. If you're going debunk anything they're not going to read past the first couple of sentences, if it challenges their bias confirmation they're not going to read any of it. They deal purely in stereotypes and whatever Newscorp puts out. Shit, we've even established, on this thread, that it doesn't matter if it's bullshit they'll believe and circulate it if it conforms to their view of the world! But can you? Many moons ago you put out some well
  9. He narrated Planet Earth, over here, on the Discovery channel. He did a bang up job of it too!
  10. The thread was about the video. You've been around here long enough to know that I'm anything but an Islamic apologist. What I can't stand is when someone posts a video so obviously shit, and it's taken in hook, line and sinker. I thought you were sharper than that. At least you're honest mate. You're saying that you can do what you want to further the agenda and it doesn't have to be even remotely accurate, providing it spins a good yarn. Correct? If anything you're teaching us to be even more skeptical of what's being shown! No. Same way not every catholic priest
  11. I never saw the documentary. I focused solely on the clip that was presented at the beginning of the thread. What the documentary holds, I can't say or comment on. What that clip shows could be genuine, or not, I don't know based on what I can see. It's not unusual for organisations to put dramatic, heavily edited, footage into factual programs. It's also not unusual for organisations to outright fake opinion pieces based on limited content. The program was aired by a for profit organisation. They have a vested interest in selling stuff, as opposed to reporting stuff. What I still cannot u
  12. I'm not disputing that. I frankly don't give a f**k how you see the world, as I'm sure you don't give a f**k about me and my opinions. Am I right? I'm not here to change how you see things, I'm here to question the validity of a terribly made internet video. I'm also here to attempt to understand why everyone seems to believe it without question, and take it on faith that they're seeing a truthful undercover video clip. If a video was shown in this forum, that didn't stroke your anger, you'd calmly tear it to pieces and say how it doesn't represent the truth. Like I did earlier in thi
  13. Okay... Show of hands... Who would go outside, and look up to check, if these two told you the sky was blue? You think they're not beyond fabricating anything, for profit?
  14. Clearly not one for questioning them hard enough. At the very least she's a journalist, and we all know how honest they are, right?
  15. That was my point though. Everything has the potential to be twisted and distorted, but I'm apparently why Britain is f**ked up because I dare to question what I'm fed! We still don't know the context behind the whole thing. It still could've been paid actors, starring in a propaganda piece (which it is, regardless.) You do bring up the children in the clip. Whether they were paid to be in it, or not. Whether it's real, or not, we can stop all this shit by not indoctrinating children into the archaic practices. Or she was paid actress making something that looked like it wa
  16. Let's flip this round a bit as it seems some people are having difficulty grasping what I'm getting at judging by the PM's Here is a hunt saboteur video from March this year. Following the same logic, displayed in this thread, this is a truthful, accurate, portrayal of hunting life? No? Could there be even a remote possibility that this YouTube video was posted to further a political agenda, and it's possibly a staged video to create awareness for said political agenda?
  17. Either you didn't read it, or you didn't understand it. Which one? But this thread isn't about Lee Rigby. You still haven't addressed why any reported material shouldn't be scrutinised. The video in the original post is 4 days old, but the original footage is from eight years ago? Is the news only true if it supports your bias confirmation? I'm not interested in changing your mind. I'm interested in why certain information sources are full of lies, and others should be taken as absolute truth. In your opinion.
  18. The should pull Major Les Hiddins out of retirement!
  19. The original link, in this thread was posted 4 days ago. The Channel 4 documentary, that purports to contain it was filmed in 2008. This is why fact checking is important, and it took 20-30 seconds.
  20. So even though Channel 4 is considered mainstream media, we're to believe them implicitly? I'll concede it stands a lot better than that earlier clip but is it the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? EDIT: We could still make better footage with a Go-Pro.
  21. I have no question about the the authenticity of the Rigby footage but wasn't that multiple footage from multiple witnesses? It was a heinous crime and I'm not and never would try and pass that off as a conspiracy. If you've read anything I've posted over the last decade you'll also know that I have no love of the Islamic faith, or any faith for that matter. They're bronze age fairy tales and are responsible for most of the global carnage we're experiencing. You're taking the stance that it's irrelevant that the footage may be real, or not, because it confirms what you already believe.
  22. I honestly don't know. Even if you flipped it around and it was someone infiltrating white supremacists, and their terror agenda, I'd still have made the same posts. The point is that it could have been made anywhere, and for any reason. What I do know is that with a Go-Pro and around £200 I could get much better footage. So could you.
  23. Tom Selleck, he's no Attenborough but he's a damn good narrator.
  24. Without any context, or supporting information, I don't know what to think. What makes you think it's genuine, other than a sincere belief that it is because it tickles your anger cells? In this thread we're told not to trust mainstream media because it doesn't report the truth... What makes YouTube exempt?
  25. I thought Rotherham was an actual, provable crime? As opposed to grainy internet video clip that is so ambiguous it could be made by pretty much anyone, for any reason?
