i have a hancock bred dog,3/4 greyhound x 1/4 beardie,its not who breeds them its down to the person rearing and training what makes the dog what it is.you can buy a pup from working parents and if its not brought on proper it wont make the grade.lets face it most dogs with high percentage of running in them will chase and catch what its aimed at imo. good hunting rew

i would use hemp or spun nylon myself which ill make myself.but kp&s nets in the countrymans weekly sell 10z 150yrd long and 15 and half meshes deep for £56.00.i could give you there number if you want to give them a ring. good hunting rew

i would start her off lamping and hopefully you may get a few squatters.make sure the dog sees the rabbit before you slip her.she should click on after a couple of outings. good hunting rew

went out ferreting this morning on myself with my two jills ,lurcher and a couple of nets.the first warren i tried was crap and nothing at home as my little albino was put down each hole and came out another.next warren was on a hedge with about 20 or more holes,i only set about 7 nets and then entered the two jills and within a few minutes a rabbit burst into the awaiting net.as the rangers were now petrolling not far from me.so i picked up the nets and set of home with the one coney for dinner tomorrow at skool. :11: heres a pic took with my phone. good hunting rew

can you pay at the gates or do you have to book for your tickets even though im will not be camping.i would like to go and have a go in the net making comp.chatsworth was a let down with the crap weather and i was gutted so will try and get my dad to takeme to the midland. hope i see you there rew

very nice little lamp and battery.it is what i use and has lasted a few years now.i dont do to many hours lamping so they are perfect for what i do.couldnt fault it. good hunting rew

i gave my brother one out of the bitch i mentioned earlier in the thread,he's a good rabbiter but not as determined as the bitch was,he will grab foxes or knock them over but wont get bit(or does'nt want to) he will give a hare a run and catch deer,but his main job is catching rabbits.the collie has deffinitley steadied him up pic of him below out ferreting. nice looking dog.has he took hare and fox. good hunting rew

cracking dogs you have.what do you lot think a collie x greyhound x whippet greyhound would turn out like.with a better coat and stronger feet and abit more stamina i think these would turn out very good.this is my preferance as i would very much like such a breed. good hunting rew

was a good day.started of poor and ended great and tasted great after i roasted my rabbit.nice little jill witton.nice catch from the harris and i thought it was gonna make its escape as it was a far flight for the bird. good hunting rew
