I think the thing that frustrates a lot of Arsenal fans and football fans in general.....is that Arsenal CAN compete in the transfer market.....they just wont !..........To a club owner Wenger is a dream manager,he virtually guarentees champions league football and the finances that go with it year in year out.............he,s not constantly on at his chairman to go spending.................the man hasnt got a degree in economics for nothing !!.....trouble is he,s a football coach not an accountant and he cant tell other clubs to play by the same rules as him. Liverpool are the most succesful club in English football.....but sometimes you just gotta take it on the chin mate !......from seeing the highlights they looked f****n awful yesterday and lucky to get away with 3 nil !...........Id be a touch worried if i followed Liverpool.

Right ok i gotcha Malt ...To be honest i was only repeating what i was told by my Arsenal pal i dont really keep an eye on other clubs finances....like my own club dont have enough problems of our own ...............Was part of the idea not that a club has an obligation to " beak even " ? on an annual basis......maybe my info,s wrong but i cant really see some of these clubs breaking even any time soon......and whens this all due to start,they decided it in 2009,said it would take 3 years to implement......well what we waiting for.

A pal of mine is an Arsenal nut so i have to listen to his whingeing as much as he has to listen to mine .....but yes,Arsenal have a list of 30,000 people waiting for season tickets........if a season ticket holder hasnt renewed their ticket by July 1st they lose it.....and 1 of the 30,000 has it. Not saying its easy......neither is a play off final ...but you still wouldnt compare them to a champions league or fa cup final..................anyway,its not like Liverpool need to be scraping up second rate cups......how many European/champions leagues 3 or 4 is it ?.....................Plus a dodgy undeserved Fa Cup final win in 2006 its 5 mate, thats why we kept the trophy,,,,, looking at it mate your right!!!!! If you can compare fitness levels of 2 completely different sports and then make a judgement based on a salary........................you really dont understand sport................do you think Usein Bolt or Mo Farrah could hold that condition all year round ?.......clearly you dont understand what peaking the body is all about. I realise this is only the internet,but still it amazes me how freely people are willing to use certain words...................where i come from if your not absolutely 100% sure you just dont use the words nonce/grass etc as the consequences of being wrong are far too great...............people on here seem to sling the words around like their dishing out sweets !!

An average career ......Will have played for 2 of the greatest clubs in world football.....been a leading scorer of the premiership,premiership players player of the year,one of Arsenals all time leading scorers.....a WORLD CUP runners up medal........................................................i like the kid Carrol.....but if he achieves half of what Van Persie has achieved in his " average career " i,ll be very surprised.

Is that what you really think.....or is that what you want to think....................my guess is like Fabregas,Nasri,Cliche and now Van Persie............they are top players who want to win things...................and realise Arsenal lack the ambition to win trophies...............top players are not content to be the 4th best club in England every year............like it or not Arsenal have put themself on the rung below the top clubs of the premiership ladder.
