    That is an unbelievably naive comment......do you think your couple of years " hard work " as you put it.....removing the trait........can overide the 100+ years it took to stamp the trait in their in the first place ? Well yes i do, never said anything about removing the trait, but i dont think that trait just causes a good dog to snap on its own Its that trait that made the dog " a good dog " in the first place !......By removing it you are removing what the dog essentially is..........hence my belief that the further away you go from a dogs heritage the more problems you will hav

    I'm not so sure about that mate. Up until about 17/18 I was afraid of any confrontation at all. Never had a fight as a kid. Got filled in a few times but never started or retaliated. My parents had me boxing and doing Judo but it never really went anywhere. Then one day a lad walked in the pub who bullied me through 2 years of school. He was the same size as when we were 15 and I was now 6' 2" and 15 stone. I don't know why or how but a switch flicked in my head and I hammered him.     The funny thing about being attacked by people who cant fight sleep ( like the pakis in this video ) is that the more of them there is the less likely you are to get hurt !!.......any more than about 3 and they all crowd each other out and get in each others way.......once they,re all puffed out kicking and swinging you,ll normally get up with nothing worse than a few scuffs and bruises !!     How does that work then ? A dog bred specifically to be aggressive and tenacious.....is no more dangerous than a dog bred to retrieve game ??? Im as passionate about bull breed dogs as anyone.......but still you have to keep it real and that comment just has no logic whatsoever.

    A mate of mine used to do all that lark.....he used to pay Havens to clean them out every week after the people had gone home,site fees every year,constant damage from kids,repairs right left and centre,only to be told its too old now you gotta replace it with new ones......he lasted 2 summers i think and made pennies .....some folk just got to learn the hard way .......................I thought this Top Gear episode was blinding.....     The Leytonstone one im not too sure about but the one in Epping directly over the road to Tescos is Smiths.....old man Smith started in the game probably 100 years ago they,re on the grand sons maybe even gr grand sons now there used to be Smiths in Chingford,Walthamstow all over the place think they are down to 2 or 3 shops now.......not sure id rate them alongside some ive been to in coastal places but still decent Smiths is okay , but the other fish and chip shop on the same side of the road as Tesco but nearer Epping high street is pretty good for around here .     I reckon when you join they must give you some kind of free starter kit with a list of taunts written out by the big lad that you can immediately return to in defense of your man Funny thing is very few Furey fans actually have much to say about what happens inside a boxing ring and their common sense logic for thinking he will come out victorious !

    Portland Bill in the East End used to be a cracker but must admit we certainly dont lead the way in fish & chips......theres a lovely one ive been to round Camborne way in Cornwall big place right across the corner of a junction someone might know the name of it......or these another nice one smack bang in the middle of Brighton Pier called Palm Springs or something like that get a beautiful bit of cod there............i think i,ll write down a few that get suggested to try out on my travels cant beat a bit of cod and chips.

    No i dont know him mate maybe would recognise him by sight i dont know.......had a quick look through his record i must of seen him fight because he fought Bradley stone a few times he was my nephews best pal and i didnt miss many of his fights......but id struggle to remember.............seemed like a good old journeyman bet he wears the sport The boy was a fool to himself mate and we all told him at the time ... He owned a coal delivery business that he worked on 6 days a week and refused to sign up with a decent manager and go into the game properly .... He is actually a good looking f****

    I was a fighter who wanted to be a footballer......my son was a footballer who wanted to be a fighter....between us we both f****d it all up Boxings in my heart i lived it and still love it today and still keep a foot in the door.........but id say im probably a bigger footie fan i dont know.......footie i cant sit still and have my heart in my mouth most of the time ( as well as my head in my hands with my lot )....cant really split them to be honest mate.

    good honest post mate.......least you went through the ropes and that itself takes some bottle imo.......... what weight was your dad?? just thinking him and jack bodell might have crossed paths at some point as would of been same era?? jacks a legend round here and was the british heavyweight champ in 1969 before losing it to cooper.......... He won the aba,s at middleweight but as a pro he was a light heavyweight......Bodell was a little bit later anyway the ol man retired in 61
