Without wishing to sound unkind the bloke sounds like a f****n idiot !.....So he takes an exceptionally game dog to its death, remarkably gets the dog going again..............and then thinks i know lets go back and scratch him again just to make sure !!! " IF " its a true story.....animals dying and then coming back to life are not exactly every day occurences are they so i hardly think it alters the term dead game

If they have a big heart i couldnt care less about the outside.

Some of the Patrick/Anderson stuff East St was churning out were very small dogs as low as 29/30 lb but i cant recollect many Nelis dogs lower than mid to high 30,s

Here we go again crying into your pints........its not our fault huge companies want to throw 5 billion at English football and nobody gives a shit about Scottish football why are we always put on this guilt trip ?.......If you had more than 1 team, and had a few more people going to football matches.....and maybe produced the odd decent footballer folk might feel a bit of sympathy but if the game is bigger in Italy than Scotland is that their fault....football fans in Iceland or Bulgaria and places dont think they,re entitled to money they dont earn !

I think its going to be a big anti climax myself with Mayweather winning quite comfortable.

Sport has rules and has to be fair.......what are the rules of hunting are they fair ?..... If i ask you to deal with my rat problem i couldnt care less if you are personally satisfied just as long as you get rid of my rats..........animals hunt, are they playing sport as well ? I used to compare hunting with sport it wasnt until i saw true hunters that i realised it was a way of life. Sounds like a sibling to Hammer and Scooby i forget the name of the dam now but she was a Tombstone/Bolio bitch if memory serves me right nothing particularly great came out of it though i might b

?...a dead game dog is one that takes its death rather than quit...its deadOh no it's not .... Its all got a bit pantomime now...if you think that a deadgame dog isnt a dog thats dead...then you clearly dont know what your talking about...a game dog is one that wont quit at its task no matter what...a deadgame dog dies seeing the job through...historicaly speaking..the clues in the word...'Dead' Not necessarily, some dogs have been to the pearly gates and revived and still attempted to scratch, it has been known. Its the most ludicrous phrase ever coined .....a 17 year old kid puts his

id say the opposite actually because lurchers are bred, owned and worked for the love of a dog thats good at its job andable to complete the required task where as the bulldog game is all money. A lurcher does its job and theres no or very little financial gain, can that honestly be said for pures? Your committing the cardinal sin of making comparisons between hunting and sport.............the Apbt is/was a sporting dog bred for sport....theres money in sport theres not in hunting, simple.

Till Death do us Part.....In Sickness and in Health.................but in todays society theres probably more chance of seeing the Queen naked on Tv than old Alf !

Think you boys have already put clips up of the best 2 i could come up with Immaculate timing, perfect delivery and decent power both of them.

If Sky did a package for just the sport channels i probably wouldnt bother with the other 900 odd channels.......shifty fuckers !
-
You could cross the road without looking both ways and not get run over a hundred times a day.........but its not a sensible thing to do is it and only a fool would do it on purpose.........not implying your a fool you understand. Bullyson was a very well bred cur why shouldnt he produce good dogs.
-
With todays conditioning techniques and a dog who is as smart as his handler......no.

Its a little bit late in the day to be going all clandestine mate.....around 15/20 years too late. When kids can openly discuss activities that took place before they was even born you can safely say the horse has bolted on that score.

Murray has always looked a little bit one paced to me which i think will play right into Golovkins hands......a Murray win seems hard to picture but certainly wish him the best hopefully he can pull something out the bag.

Gameness is not some magic potion i dont think its terribly difficult to breed for if you are willing to use other peoples lifetimes of work, thats been proven plenty of times......unfortunately it takes a hell of a lot more than mere gameness......start breeding for mouth over gameness and you,ll certainly run into problems !......Genetic freaks will crop up ocassionally but over enough time most lines will revert back to the average of what the line has to offer and if it doesnt contain gameness you have nothing.
-
The dog you mentioned earlier is a perfect example, every mistake that a dogman could make was made with Gnasher, rolled out virtually every weekend his nervous system was pretty much shot by the time his career started !......Would he have still quit if he,d been raised and schooled out correctly, who knows but you have to question why a ch bulldog suddenly quits on top after half hour............hence i agree they will all quit under the right circumstances. Against a top conditioner and handler ?......risky strategy that .......Im of the belief that a hard bite is like a boxers hard punch

Stone me last time i looked they was 1 nil down....they,ve certainly turned that around.
-
Personally ive always been of the opinion that gameness is like the water level in a jar.....some so high it spills over the edge, some so low you barely see it......the majority of bulldogs fall somewhere in between I look at gameness as a trait rather than a gene....if it was a gene all dogs of every breed would have it to a degree, and they simply dont......the nature versus nurture debate has gone on for years and in my opinion you cant put in what nature left out be that making a game dog quit or a cur dog game its in the blood as they say.....Genetically there is absolutely no re

If countries like Holland,Luxembourg,Greece etc could do it so could we.......we f****d it pure and simple.....having had some of the great purebred family dogs created over mens life times from around the world what do we have to show for it......................some good lurchers !!!......If thats not a sporting tragedy i dont know what is.
-
Theres probably a lot of truth in that which brought about my previous comment about the Dutch...while their main players were concentrating on winning with bulldogs our main players were concentrating on how to make the most £££'s from bulldogs.....hence they ended up with families of dogs that stood the test of time and we ended up with a mish mash of nothing !

Im a West Ham fan mate im not a glory hunter .....yes he did.....then again far lesser dogs would never of made ch having suffered the abuse that poor dog suffered im a sucker for a good zero to hero story. I guess them Rom litters are just not up to it eh

Thats my point nobody thought them worthy of preserving......didnt Bills owner get rid of all his Reid stuff to make way for Lady Pedro dogs. Again, reasons can be seen as excuses and proper people dont make excuses for dogs Smokey stopped and thats that...whether him arriving in the Uk with heartworm had anything to do with it,whether him not being the same dog that beat Sinbad had anything to do with it who knows a lot of people thought he would walk through Max and so no amount of reasons/excuses change the outcome or the fact that Max was an outstanding bulldog. Maybe
