And if he doesnt his wife certainly will ?....John wasnt the most pleasant individual but in fairness he was game to the bone and had great understanding of these dogs....a little bit too ruthless on under achieving dogs for my liking but a hell of a dogman.....in fairness to Butcher though he took it on the chin like a man ( or nose in his case ) and laughed if off apparently i dont think he pressed charges.

And on the subject of bulldogs i was informed about the passing of Mr.Butcher a few weeks ago which brought a smile to my face.....such is life eh....or death in his case.

I have relatively little experience of Staffords but from what ive seen they have too much of that wide eyed scatty bounce off the walls madness to them to really be " intelligent ".......a bit of over eagerness to please kind of thing and too much reliance on human interaction compared to pit bulls who i always felt had more of that " im a survivor i can make it on my own without you " mentality......pit bulls were much more intense and focused than Staffords who in my limited experience are easily distracted.

Must admit stuff like that is fascinating,whenever i hear things like that i think i should do more research in it all.....my mrs keeps asking me stuff,yesterday it was " what do the pearls on the crown signify ".....and all i keep coming out with is " how the f**k should i know " ?......to which i get the inevitable " well you book yourself a proud Englishman " ? I think theres probably " reason " for near everything we see at these type of ceremonies i agree it would be great to have some knowledgeable soldier type who's on the ball with that sort of thing to hear it from.

I find that really interesting.....again running dogs were never my gig but i would never have made such a link between the 2 sports....similarities i suppose yes but thats interesting to hear.

Again.....steroids themself dont create winners the person administering them does....you can just as easily ruin a dog with them.....without wanting to blow my own horn i was one of the first people to do dogs on shots through a keep years ago as i had a lot of knowledge of them and for those who's dogs i shaped up their records spoke for themself....the downside was it made a lot of the dogs infertile and so you dont get to reproduce exceptional dogs......but done properly you are just going to get more of everything mate thats just a given.

He had some unfortunate troubles when he came out the dogs and lost some years but he definitely had that game cracked he just seemed to know things about dogs that nobody else knew.....i always said had it been legal he would of been a wealthy chap.

Yes mate surname started with A.....he was from my neck of the woods he wasnt a conditioner as such a lot of his dogs were shaped up by the same person....but yes the paki was generally acknowledged as the best handler of competition bulldogs in the country.....your people were not blowing smoke up his arse at all he was the best in the game and the " man to beat " as such....i always describe him as a Steve Irwin type he just had an uncanny bond with dogs and an ability to get in a dogs mind he could literally talk a dog out of quitting anybody would tell you whether you love or loathe the sp

Regards not knowing you....it means i have nothing to judge you on the way you seem to have remembered random shit about me to judge.....strangely creepy but such is life. If something is known fact then fine.....but if somethings whisper and rumour then i tend to go on the old " Those who know dont speak and those who speak dont know " premise.....rather than gossip and housewife tittle tattle. Very admirable and again i dont know the game well enough to criticise your stance. All i'll say to emphasise my point is the age old saying......" The reason nice guys finish last is because they're holding the door for everyone else " To pretend steroids dont help is just naive.

Don was the greatest conditioner of his time....he conditioned dogs naturally and was big on raising and conditioning dogs close to nature....but having matched his first dog in 59 and his last in 79 very little information was available to him re juice....although he dabbled with them late on he knew next to nothing about steroids.....as very few people did back then.

Theres a reason professional athletes do their very utmost to avoid detection from peds in sport .....if you seriously think that doesnt apply to dogs then with all due respect you need to up your game mate.

Yeah it was the steroids that were shit......not the people administering them ? Im not going to get into a debate about coursing as it isnt my thing.....but if you're serious then thats a very naive comment mate.

Well theres not much i can say to that.....i have no interest in you and know absolutely nothing about you or what decisions you have made in life. But to some people " accusing " somebody of something without knowing for 100% certainty that you are right,is a dangerous game to play due to the consequences involved in being wrong. So the fact you dont live your life like that tells me everything i want to know about you.

I dont know enough about the coursing world compared to bulldogs but id say its irrelevant....peaking a bulldog is just nothing like peaking a running dog it would be like comparing the way a boxer trains for a fight and a marathon runner trains for a race.....after i stopped keeping bulldogs years ago i had a couple of Greyhounds with a top trainer....more often than not it was him asking me the questions !.......im sure it helped in terms of very basic stuff as anyone had access to people like Fat Bills keeps but most of that was just basic common sense and very few people were messing with

Is that where we are at now....if a person with no prior knowledge of the persons background has ever spoken to a nonce or been in the company of a nonce....they too should be labelled as scum ?....f****n roll on !.....again,its a shame we dont hold such high standards in other areas of life.

Regards bulldogs and horses a well known dog back years ago owned by an old pal of mine was on the front of the local paper after his bulldog attacked a police horse outside Tottenhams ground....what possibly made him think taking a performance bred bulldog to a football match was a good idea god only knows !

Brilliant mate its nice when it all comes together like that,looks a good spot......looks a nice quality camera that. I agree ploughing through a bunch of clips that dont really amount to anything is a pain i tend to average out at about 1 clip kept for every 200 i bin ! -
