i was just wondering, say if i was in an area where their was deer with my lurchers with out permission and got arrested for suspicion of poaching ,if my defense was i was after fox ,could they only get me done on tresspass

Is there any difference between a hunter and a poacher or is a poacher just a hunter without permission and if you are to get done on poaching is it the land owner or occupier that has to press the charges or can you be done by the public prosecution and over here in Ireland or across the water before the ban can you be done for poaching while hunting fox or is it only game you can be done on

I think when they get a belt they think it is something you have done

Never in the field ,the last thing ye want is your dog catching a rabbit in the field and eatting it then your nights lamping is finished -

My missus is grand she only become an anti when she need's me home for some reason but if we are out and someone else start to give me a bit of grief for what i do ,it can be great fun to just sit back and listen to the the stuff that come out of her mouth ,ye would swear she is out working the dogs more than me ,but when you get into this game and if your really serious about it ,it stops become a hobby or a past time ,it becomes a way of life so if ye don't want a life of constant arguing either convert her or ship her out

Lurchers & Terriers does the CA support you
lurcher330 replied to Foxgun Tom's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Personally I'd like to see that happen too and in the past the NWTF has offered any assistance it can in the setting up of such an organistaion. I'm sure there was a thread on it some time back. The problem seems to be a combination of the lack of terrier clubs in Ireland and the ability to find the right people who are willing to get involved, pick up the baton and run with it. I believe there was such an organisation at one time, but for reasons I'm not aware it seemed to die a death. Regards - Barrie I would be really interested in being involved in it over here but to be h -
Lurchers & Terriers does the CA support you
lurcher330 replied to Foxgun Tom's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
I am a member of CSA Ireland and even though i dot agree with all their policies they have been a great help to me on certain issues and being a member is handy when looking for permission ,but i think Ireland needs an organisation like the NWTF that will focus soley on terrier issues that can easily be put under threat with he flick of a pen -

Is she to old for first litter Lakeland
lurcher330 replied to rambo7's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
A vet told me that a bitch cervic starts to close up from about 4 to 5 year old if she had not been bred from before and most older bitchs have a first litter will need to be opened up to deliver pups -
I dig all the land for him I gave him the border because he had a death in the family and was in bad form.and he fancied him, but it backfired he is digging all the handy ones himself now. There is nothing about digging or poaching that man does not know a gentleman.Alan I posted you a pup with AN POST four weeks ago he is probally still in the sorting office. yeah he's a nice ole sort and he only had good things to say about ye and a mate of mine was out with ye a few weeks ago (Danny)and he was rightly impressed with the animals ye keep

I do agree to what your saying to a point but ,i suggested it should be removed because each and every hit that site gets they regard as it someone agreeing with what they are saying'and the anti's on here that may not of come across these sites link up and join their campaigne ,we all know they re out there so they do not need to be promoted,JMHO atb Lurcher330 -
