  16. Wirral,i had no issue with your post, but R.Docks saying if your dog can't be called of a cat it should not be off the lead, and what i was putting across was i dont and wouldn't break my dogs to cats ,over here they have as status as a fox,and i wouldn't go out to kill someones pet ,but if it is on my property or my permission and they get flushed they are fair game ,the same as if a farmer see's a dog on his land worrying stock ,he has the right to kill it
  17. I'm more or less finished but if the weather is right over the next couple of weeks i will do a bit of lamping and the dogs will be exercised in fields where there are a few bunnies so a few here and there over the summer months will will the ferrets
  18. the fox has 2 options bolt from the earth if it is possible or stay and face a terrier until the owner digs down and removes them ,and no the terrier is not stuck if the fox bolts the terrier will come up if the fox stays the terrier should stay with it until dug too ahh pain in the arse lol i understand now thank you. Far from it lad ,give me a dig over a bolt any time, not only is the the terrier getting fulfillment but great exercise for your self, better than working out in a smelly sweaty gym,i would much rather the fresh air of the country side
  19. the fox has 2 options bolt from the earth if it is possible or stay and face a terrier until the owner digs down and removes them ,and no the terrier is not stuck if the fox bolts the terrier will come up if the fox stays the terrier should stay with it until dug too
  20. No lad the fox lives in a hole in the ground called an earth and your terrier is basically the sheriff telling him to get the fcuk out of Dodge
  21. Lad you said in your thread about your lakeland dog ,that your father rears pheasents,so i reckon you should well know why foxes need controlling. digging them is one of the most productive and humane ways of control ,they have no natural predators in the wild so in order to keep their numbers down man has to intervene. look at the urban fox population ,9 out of 10 of them are mangey skinny specimens because they have no way of proper control on them. the reason most of us do it is control and also enjoy seen working animals doing what they where bred for(look up the meaning of the w
  22. Cats are not stock ,i never try and break a dog to cats
  23. So start a petition! Regardless of the rights and wrongs of it, the fact is that the law protects cats in the UK. but this thread is about an incident that happened in Ireland
  24. Well to be honest i couldn't care if it's a feral or pet if it's on my property near my birds ,i will kill it and if cat owners dont like it keep their cats in
