  6. 100 %. It's who you know! And if you put on a good show on some estates/farms, others will be asking you to do theirs rather than you asking them That's being happening alot lately for me,i got a phone call last night from a neighbour of a farmer we done some fox control for the weekend ,so im gona lamp during the week if the conditions are right ,and if that fails i will try it with the terriers the weekend, the next 2 weekends will be me finished unless i get a call to sort out a problem
  7. heres a few pics from Ireland so they are legal
  8. I try not to call into a house ,if i see them in the yard or in the field thats when i ask,but what makes a big difference is if you can drop a few names from around the area that you have permission off already
  9. Well done Danny ,we got a couple of vixens yesterday and would of liken to let them run ,but we where out to do some pest control so they had to be done

  12. 10 years old this year and still at it
  13. Birr was one of the best shows that was on last year, and the racing did go like clock work, but there was a mix up with the definition of what was a an un reg whippet and a non ped whippet ,well with me in anyway but the Roscrea club done a great job and they are a bunch of sound lads,my whippets are useless at racing but i will give them ago either way for the crack ,my lurcher bitch is not bad but she is gun shy and with the track being beside the clay shooting she is the quickest dog to get back into a van but i will still give her a go as well ,might be lucky and there be a break in the c
  14. He looks quite fit in them pics mate,if he is still happy to work away let him,he might not last as long left at home while you are out ,depression will kill him before work does
  15. It's always nice to be gifted a pup,i have 10 dogs and i bought 1 of them in a lurcher bitch, of a lad that thank fcuk he didn't know what he had or maybe she would not of being the same bitch if he still had her,she certainly would not of got the same work with him as i give her,but when am gifted a pup i all ways like to bring along a bag of dog or something with me not as payment more as a thank you because anyone that has reared a litter of pups correctly know it's not a cheap thing to do,but what rightly pisses me off if you gift someone a pup and the sell it on,ok if they say to you here
  16. My father had 1( a doberman) years ago and she was a handy bitch around the hole after a dig,But he wouldn't let me x her with the retired coursing greyhound my uncle had,i have always thought they would be a good x if ye came across the right one
  17. Mate just be careful with him when your out ,even if you tape the ferret collar on to his when his is bushing because the last thing ye want his him to hit a deep earth and be willing to stick to his qurry and you cant find him,,ATB he's a cracking looking dog
  18. Nice 1 mate only a coupe of weeks left unless i get a few call out from farmers that need something sorted
  19. I would love to get out and see them working some day,I was only telling big P mcGarth that i was thinking about getting 1 but they were too pricey to take the chance
