  2. Have got a very aggressive male patterdale, fine with people, but if he sees a dog a mile away he just wants to kill,i know what pats are like because the little darling in the picture has nailed my lurcher twice and it's the devils own job getting her off, but she is more obedient and will come to heel, am just thinking that he has such a high prey drive it will be near impossible to snap him out of it...any ideas
  3. Have put some board across, gives me enough time to get in and out
  4. Just bought shed for ferrets from garden buildings direct, cheap 6x3 for £104 delivered, have to put up yourself, not to difficult, not brill quality but ok for ferrets http://img14.imagesh...19012013158.jpg http://imageshack.us...19012013159.jpg http://imageshack.us...012013157.jpg/]

  6. Just bought a new shed for ferrets only problem is getting in and out before they do,only thing i can think of is to make a safety gate area to close before i open the shed door, now i know some one on here will have some ingenius suggestion
  7. Am sure the shed will be a lot better for them then gonna run a pipe for them to go in the run, that way i can shut the run off if its too wet and they still got plenty of room inside the shed for exercise,Mrs will have to wait for the bedroom to be decorated, ferts come first
  8. Is there no licence needed to sell them?,i just thought that everything had to be traced and inspected these days so they can trace it back to source
  9. Bit of a shock the other morning,2 of my four ferrets looked as though they had been out in the run all night and were wet, shaking and looking thoroughly miserable,i have bought them all in doors for a couple of days and they seem fine now,i have got a double rabbit hutch as sleeping quarters and a home made run,i just think it's the amount of rain we have had all year everywhere is sodden, anyway have infested in a shed which i will attach my run to but will shut the run off in the winter on the wet days anyway,Mrs was moaning about the smell when they were in the house but i said the ferret

  11. My lad was brought home by plod for egging cars,i can see their point asb and all that, funny though when a neighbours house was burgled it took them three days to respond, not had many round here though, probably because my house looks like mockingbird heights
  12. Good advice there guy's However there is no LAW that requires you to have it covered! Its True Back in the 's I'd walk around with my gun over my arm Broken like a Shotty and no one gave a hoot! But sadley in this day and age; it's a matter of common sense to cover it up Tony Good shout on that one i do believe its not law to have it covered but maybe good practice

  14. I think kids generally do like doing things outdoors, though they have all the indoor couch potato stuff getting out is inherently built in them.Though i did have to bury him up to his knees in the pic.
  15. Good few hours this morning,am quite happy with the 3,dont see point in exterminating the bunny's,strange question from my youngest though "do they do a rabbit hunting game on the playstation"
  16. Going out with ferrets this morning, trouble is i cant get ready till last minute cos if my patterdale gets a sight of a net, bag or anything else to do with hunting she is on my case, been out with the gun last twice so she didnt come and is sulking badly,do other types but ferreting is my favourite and probably best at....have told the Mrs the farmer rang me as he is infested,a little lie dont harm no one and its better than a trip to Aldi or some other mind numbing institution.I will post some pics if i get any later....am so excited...do we ever grow up!
  17. yeah thats the one! i had a look at a few others, but this was by far the best one, cheers mate, ill give one ago eventually, do you use them double pegged? or just wider and longer than a standard purse net? Prob about 5 ft,and double pegged, good addition when you have a few holes together or round a tree
  18. Prob same you tube vid you watched but i think its the best one on you tube, well done on the net i started last year and have now got all my own nets,i do like using the spun poly, try a poke net next they are useful to have in the bag, here's the link to the vid
  19. http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/life/European_Polecat#p007xt1g Filming polecats in uk,seem quite different to a polecat ferret,am certainly no expert but they do seem on initial viewing darker than the ferret
  20. This vid shows you how to do it but i tried it and could as hell do it,the vid i done was done to show the way i do it,i can do them much quicker than i did on the vid,too be honest i will only be setting a few and it works for me,certainly would be interested in doing it the "correct way" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8q1vBKj4ANY
