  1. cant do that the kids would take the piss. would stop the dogs sticking there snouts in my tea though
  2. so have lakies and patts but i wouldnt x one with a gh to get a good lurcher i had a litter of seven pups out of a greyhound/ lakeland.. brightmore/cowan. f**k all wrong with terrier crosses. the best results are usually produced on the second cross
  3. just spat my tea on my keyboard ya twat i would like to bet that the cross would be handy enough as little knock about lurchers. but they are very vocal wouldnt do nothing a beddy cross could do but each to there own ps. stormyboy your a wind up merchant
  4. he was a handsome lad. she has a look of him. only rough. she has the best jacket ive seen on a russell type and is by far the steadiest natured dog ive ever owned. a credit to the breeder
  5. she is doig ok kate but hasnt been used to ground as ive had to stop terrierwork due to health reasons still she is putting the odd shift in and you never know she might enter later in the season by accident i will keep you informed. all my best to you and your family
  6. it is strange that a hunting dog site hasnt got a stud dog section. there are some really decent dogs on the WWW. and for some folk it makes sense to go outside there area for new blood. as for the pounds argument. its never made any sense to me. i dont nive a flying f**k who charges what. i'll stick to my principles others will differ. the big worry would in my opinion be dog thieves. as for the quality of studs . buyer beware
  7. just wondering. did she go up on you
  8. one of ivy's pups is on the small bitches thread
  9. PMSL and to get back on track. a plummer 12 inch and 12 pounds
  10. im looking for a bitch MYSELF. MAYBE WITH ABIT OVE BULL INIT you dont need bull in a wheaten x well said. a well bred wheaten cross shouldnt need any bull in it.
  11. proper dog a nice whippet just for you mate the little lurchers dam
  12. working whippets are few and far between where i hunt. the reason being. they cut up bad in the hawthorn and could stand on a sixpence in strong wind and rain. there pace is undeniable but often there downfall. ive seen less than half a dozen up here that got regular work and all bar non where early retired. a pedigree whippet would be as much use as a chocolate fireguard to me mate.
  13. never heard as much rubbish in my life. if straight whippets could do the job as well as a well bred small lurcher. there would be no need to breed small lurchers. and we would all be working whippets. whippets are the poor relative to the lurcher in the field.
  14. foxy was killed in a kennel fight. she was my lads dog and wasnt an earthdog allthough she bolted one or to for him.
  15. i agree tassa, why he wants to spoil it with plummer blood is beyond me ATB.[/quo the plummer cross im using is my own and hes working 100%,he is 2 and half years old and hes had 28 under him,hes a steady little dog, dosent hardly get hurt is style of working suits me,you can drop in anywhere and he can be called out,he does have a fault and thats his size hes very small and can get bullied about"if you know what i mean"the bitch in question will have all this season to prove her worth but she is going well already, worker to worker. good to see folk looking to breed good baying ter
  16. this is Bree. she is davie jones mal thomas lines.i'm told. works to ground but hasnt done much.
  17. i would go for the beddy cross. over the bull cross. just becouse i prefare a bit of coat. but for anyone that wants the best of both worlds the wheaten cross gives a hardy nature and rough coat
  18. is that a bedlington cross? he is a first cross wheaten terrier/ whippet.
  19. cheers coco. they really are fine looking lurchers. a credit to you. i really like the look of the dark brindle. thanks for the pics
