  1. I seen a guess the score on another forum and thought about this. Predict the winner from each match this weekend, and every playing week of the six nations, it would go something like this. Everyone predicts their choice of scores for this weeks matches, each person starts on 50 points if the teams you chose to win do so the the points difference is added to you 50 points, if the team you choose to win loose, then the points difference is taken away from your 50 points. at the end of the 6 nations the person with the highest points wins...... wait for it................a photo of a chocol
  2. What up with Bigger? Is he injured? I take it Hook is the replacement OH amongst other positions? The bench does not look to have many impact players, Ken Owens usually makes the gain line. The rest it seems as if they are there just to cover injuries. I would be surprised if the 60 minute change around happens, and most players baring injury will be on for the match. TC
  3. The welsh team for Saturday. WALES (v Italy): Leigh Halfpenny (Cardiff Blues); Alex Cuthbert (Cardiff Blues), Scott Williams (Scarlets), Jamie Roberts (Racing Metro), George North (Northampton Saints); Rhys Priestland (Scarlets), Mike Phillips (Racing Metro); Paul James (Bath), Richard Hibbard (Ospreys), Adam Jones (Ospreys), Luke Charteris (Perpignan), Alun Wyn Jones (Ospreys, capt), Dan Lydiate (Racing Metro), Justin Tipuric (Ospreys), Toby Faletau (NG Dragons). Replacements: Ken Owens (Scarlets), Ryan Bevington (Ospreys), Rhodri Jones (Scarlets), Andrew Coombs (NG Dragons), Sam
  4. Are you being paid cash in hand or by bank transfer? You say your employer is deducting tax but not enough, how did you come to know this? Have you had a letter from the tax man saying you owe tax? Do you have a written record of how many hours you work a week? Your best bet is, as you have been told above go to your local tax office or at least ring them and try and make an apointment to sort it out. TC
  5. That wood looks like meranti or sapele to me, same family as mahogany just a lot less expensive. hence it's use on firedoors. Genuine mahogany is just too expensive to use on fire doors. TC
  6. If you have not had a payslip how do you know how much tax you have paid and how much your earnings are? TC
  7. Lock Jake Ball has been added to the Welsh squad to replace Ian Evans, he has been outstanding for the Scarlets this season. TC
  8. In my misspent youth, I used to do a lot of bird nesting, just for research as you did back in the 60's. I did have a little bit of a reputation of being a nest finder general ( thanks to the two bird bibles at the time, the two observer books which BTW I still have) If I was targeting a bird I would read up on where it liked to live and feed as common sense told me that is where I would find them. The only nests I have found of coal tits have been in deciduous wood land. I found that they prefered shallower holes than the rest of the hole living tit family, where you could see the bird si
  9. I have only seen one Coaltit in 4 years, that was last year, not seen one this year. Shit photo as usual. TC
  10. I get LLT on the feeders most days, they seem to be very for the want of a better word flighty, never spending more than a couple of minutes on the feeders. They usually arrive as a group and spend 2 minutes on the feeders then move on. I pick my grandson up from school and you have to be early to get a parking space, opposite side of the road where I park there is an old willow tree and most afternoons around 2.55 a group / troupe / flock? Of the LTT give the willow tree a good going over and within 2 minutes they have moved on along the hedgerow. I just love watching them. TC
  11. Negotiations, give and take. I love it, well done boys. That is the way to deal. no fannying about, offer counter offer, deal. TC
  12. Pete do what Mal says. Put the level on a transom up against an upright look where the bubble is turn the level around 180 degrees, again up agaist the upright and if the bubble is not where it was on the first reading, then the level is out. TC
  13. Is it any wonder that people like that give genuine fieldsports enthuiasts a bad name. It made me sick, that really is the dark side. I could not watch it all, as it was making me angry. TC
  14. JD2 may be back for the France game. Good news if he does make it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/25852750 TC
  15. Baw, As it happens I have had to wait on a 999 call it was around a couple of minutes before they answered, that two minutes could have meant life or death for the old lady I was ringing an abulance for, as it happens we only live a few minutes from the abulance station and 5 minutes from the hospital. But not everyone is in such a comfortable position. TC
  16. Well it persistently raining here so I stitched a line together. If you have a hollow braid you can skip the first step. In the first picture the line has a core so the core needs to be removed first. Peel back the outer of the braid and cut the core out. Next pull the outer back and offer up the two lines overlaping, this is where you start the sewing, leave about half an inch each side of the join I have found that an inch of join is quite sufficient. Stich the lines together for about an inch then cut a taper in the line, the longer the taper the better and smother the
  17. It really is as simple as, had the title of the thread said Marmite instead of football then the comparisons would not have crept in. I am not knocking football just saying it is not for me. Just wondered how many feel the same? Hence the poll. TC
  18. Oh for f**k sake ...........I bet you use both sides of the toilet paper ! Sorry, I just do not understand the connection. Are you are saying that it is alright for some person to call 999 with a hoax call? PS what the flying F has that got to do with bog roll? TC You are obviously super duper efficient No your right or course you are...................everyones mind works diffferent i suppose.....i thought it was funny but then i always route for the baddies in films ! Gnash, I also thought it was funny, but when looked at from a different perspective it cou

  20. Is he being charged? If not he should be! Edited to add: Not because of the content of the call, but the fact that he made the call for a non 999 matter. While he was holding up that operator someone was trying to get through for a genuine call. TC
  21. Tiercel, Have you got any photos of how you sew the top line together, so that the net does not snag on the join. Thank You SINDASOX I hav'nt, but When out last week end I noticed a couple of stop nets that need sewing if it rains tomorrow I will do one and take some photos of how I do it. Smithie, just use the thread on the top of bags of dog biscuits ect, 100% polyester will never rot and no need to double it up. TC
  22. Normally I like to see a thread develop and go off at tangents, it keeps it intresting. However, you cannot compair like for like with football, as the business is so big there is not another 'sport' to touch it world wide. Obviously it must get great ratings to oust the soaps on ITV and the money sky throw at it is just astronomical. So it follows that it is a big money spinner. Yet a lot of people who I talk too about it have no liking for the game. Just trying to establish how popular it really is. Granted a hunting forum is not the best place to do that. TC
  23. This thread is not about a comparison between any other sport and football it is just about football. So please keep on the topic, thank you. TC
  24. The photos wont show, have to be a member of photobox. TC
  25. My thoughts are if you like to follow the crowd more than likely you will like football. If on the otherhand you are an individual who thinks for themselves, you are less likely to follow the crowd and have less intrest in mass entertainment. TC
