  14. was once running a friends bull cross on rabbits with one of those short slip collars with the brass release thumb thingy , couldnt get the clip loosed and the rabbit lifted dog saw it and pulled me over and dragged me 2o yards by my arm until i got my hand out of the loop. needless to say i was the entertainment for that night.
  15. got one from gamehawker recently , looks a great bit of kit but ought to be at 60 nicker !! . cant see heat being a problem as 99% of work done in the winter , and cold is combated with a filling of straw , its light , easy to clean , spacious ( no need to stuff ferrets in and get lid down quick .) and a good shape for carrying. hope this helps atb

  18. i used to fish that 20 years ago when it was the waters of the old heenans engineering works from worcester.there was a fast stretch called the spinney,if you fished it well you always won the contest. # yes thats the place , heenan and frouds old stretch . they let it go to wreck and ruin , a succession of poor officials ruined a good club and the membership fell to very small numbers with no one prepared to run it . you can catch almost anywhere if you fish it well with light lines , but the big lump of meat on a big lead merchants got disenchanted because the fish did not fall for the
  19. its above and below leigh court , starting opposite bransford golf club and following the old malvern railway line upstream to three fields up from the half way point of leigh brook . lovely stretch and the last time i looked it had plenty of water in it , its a bit dependent on the rain as it fishes best with color but there are deep places that fish all year and shallow fast runs with cover near by that hold barbel . atb

  21. used to go with a chap who used an old pocket radio tuned into the deben collar frequency , worked a treat . all he did was to turn the volume down as he got closer to his target to pinpoint its position.

  23. just taken on the course rights to a stretch of the teme above and below leigh court just outside worcester . a very good barbel and chub water , that is a beautiful and peaceful place with no public footpaths and limited numbers of members (30) . £50 all in per year , possible match calender depending on member interest .
