  1. Finished work early today so popped over to a small bit of permission on my way home. Managed to bag three bunnies in about 40 minutes, and just as I was getting ready to leave, the crow landed about 25 yards away from me. An opportunity too good to miss! Going out lamping tonight on a new piece of permission, if we have any joy, I shall post about it! Cheers. Ron. *edited for poor grammar.
  2. I'm selling my HW95 (.22) following the recent arrival of a BSA R10. In the past year it's had the V-Mach Treatment. I refinished the stock myself some years ago- it's lighter in colour than the standard, but looks very nice. Couple of scratches on the muzzle weight, but nothing that effects how the rifle shoots. If you were to fit a silencer, these would be covered anyway. It has a Tasco Silver Antler 3-9x40 scope attached with 2 piece simmons pro mounts. The scope has started to go a bit blurry, and I'd imagine that you'd want to replace it. (A decent scope from JSR would probably
  3. If you want a lightweight compact gun, keep the S200!
  4. It was to slow for a .177 pellet and that makes it a ferral. End of Nice shooting ATB Michael Or indeed a .22 pellet. Cheers Scuby!!
  5. that blue pied pigeon on the right looks like the racing pigeon i lost It's an interesting looking bird for sure. They're all definitely ferals though, so the mystery continues..! Cheers Freddy!
  6. A mate of mine has recently started keeping cattle, and as you know, with cattle sheds come feral pigeons! It occured to me a few weeks ago, so I gave him a call to see what the situation was "loads of them mate, thought about giving you a call but didn't think you'd be interested". We left it at that and resolved to arrange a mutually convenient time to have a bash at them. He called yesterday and said this evening would be good. I finished up at work around 4 today, and thought i'd pop over to another piece of permission to see if I could bag a bunny before starting the feral bashing.
  7. Well said Malt...this is what I was getting at in a topic I started a couple of weeks back. Good luck S.S, hopefully this place will soon return to it's former glory!
  8. BSA Lightning / Supersport. Pick them up second hand for cheap.
  9. Be patient mate, if it takes you 15 minutes to get close enough to take your shot, then it's 15 minutes well spent. Make very slow, quiet movements. Keep the wind in your face, don't have anything rattling around in your pockets, tread softly and stick at it!
  10. FAC Air rifle perhaps? Would have a bit more power anyway That's almost certainly the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. More power is in no way going to help.
  11. Therin lies, my problem. I'll wait until I buy a .177!
  12. DO NOT EVER USE A MUZZLE ON A FERRET. Just don't do it, it's a horrible horrible thing to do.
  13. I'm definitely going to try this this weekend! No idea how I'll provide photographic evidence though!
  14. its a career 707 they not brought in the country anymore shame reali. the gunsmith always says their the best built airgun he as ever seen. they were maid for use in the far est for shooting momkeys out off trees .they also do it in a 9mm and.50cal . they can do up to 192ftlb or it could be a samartra wich is exacley the same thing It's a Parker Hale Phoenix, Shaun, Aaron asked the same question in Hyperion's last thread.
  15. Somebody could pick up a bargain here!!
  16. Cheers everybody, hopefully when I call in there next week I'll have a bit more luck!!
  17. And if you can shoot through the middle of the polo mint, you're definitely good enough!!
  18. Agreed. More opportunities may arise in the future mate.
  19. Jays are the same size as maggies. Magpies can look a bit larger though, with the longer tail etc.
  20. I was being serious, but equally, if i had enough interest in shooting/hunting to be a member of this site in the first instance, not much chance I'd go giving that opportunity away either! Still, if the offer arrives, I can arrange time off work very quickly! Freddy, next time you're home I may be able to take you out on a the same piece of land that these came from if you're interested, we'd probably get a beer out of it from the owner too. **edited for poor grammar!
