  1. Sorry to hear that! I truely hope she shows up!
  2. I'm fairly new to the game, but I've heard many tales of colleagues doing pretty ridiculous things! A personal favourite of mine, although I don't think it involved too much pain was a colleague doing some work in a roof void- I'm not even sure what he was after up there, but he stepped off the boarded area, straight onto a suspended ceiling. Naturally, he fell straight through, onto the boardroom table, mid board meeting! Apparently, he simply greeted them with "Good afternoon everyone!", made his excuses and left the room!
  3. And I've heard that they taste pretty horrendous! I know my ferrets won't eat them!
  4. And don't get angry if it doesn't work. It's probably because you've switched the search/locate switch instead of the on/off switch!!! In all seriousness, it's an fantastic piece of kit.
  5. I have no idea what is going on.
  6. If you're supervising him mate, then why not?! It's good that he's interested, and to be honest if he's been out with you before, I imagine that he's sensible, and he knows his stuff (to a certain degree)- probably more than can be said for some of the members on here!
  7. You just continue to fuel the fire! Don't try and start an argument, because a. I'm just giving you some advice and b. You will lose.
  8. I have to be totally honest, I don't understand the question! Are you saying you usually give your ferrets rain water to drink?
  9. When I had a major mouse problem in my kitchen, I trapped 24 mice over about 10 days. I fed them all to my ferrets with no problems. If there's any chance they've been anywhere near a rodenticide, then dont't do it.
  10. You wont need to replace the mainspring too often. I guess it depends how much shooting you do! I've had my HW95K for over 10 years, and it's just having it's spring changed now, and a tune up while its there. To be honest though, it's not been 'on song' for a couple of years. For the first 5 or 6 years of its life, it was firing between 500 and 1000 shots a week though.
  11. I am now the proud owner of said spade. I shall call him Spade.
  12. Way to go you f*****g racist imbecile. Maybe if you weren't such an uneducated knuckle-dragger you understand exactly why that comment was unacceptable. c**t.
  13. I'm a long way away, but if I can come on a sunday then I'm up for it!!!
  14. Thanks for that. Ordered the one from Tooled-Up. I'm glad I looked at this thread!
  15. If the waiting list is that long, then by the time you get one you might be a more "appropriate" age!
  16. How long is the one from tooled up mate? I'm going to buy one...the draper one on tooled up is cheaper, but I can't tell how big it is!
  17. Well good on her! Give her a pat on the back for me!
  18. Lovely stuff...and agreed- that spade looks the business!! Any info on it please?!
  19. First off, yes they are very reliable. Easily one of the best air rifles on the market. Lots of lads on here use them, and I'm sure they'd testify the same. Charging is done using either a specially designed pump, or from a diver's air bottle. As for the maintenance- having never owned a pre-charged pneumatic myself, I can't give too much detail, but you would have to have, or have access to a pump or a diver's air bottle! As for power output, I'd imagine that stock power would come close to the legal limit of 12 ftlbs- somewhere around 11.8ftlbs - which is perfectly adequate for
  20. They need to be poisoned mate. In all honestly, you're best calling in a professional, but if not, you'll be able to buy some bait. Knock up some bait boxes out of some old bits of wood- make sure that it can't be accessed by your dogs, or any other non-target species and put a few of them around the farm. If you can see the burrows that the rats are coming from, bait them up too, and make sure you block the holes up. Also make sure that your dogs aren't going to go along and dig the bait up behind you! It'd probably be worthwhile keeping bait boxes down all year round, and just
  21. There is a possibility that when I said £127, I may have been wrong, and in fact I paid £173 too.
