  7. go to the chemist and get some vaseline and a sharp pair of curved scissors the type you do toe nails with but with a blade length of about an inch. carefully slide up under dew claw without pressing in to the leg and snip of each dew claw and put a small amout of vaseline on each dew mark. there,s very little blood and i have allways done them as soon as possible. good luck. go to the chemist and get some vaseline and a sharp pair of curved scissors the type you do toe nails with but with a blade length of about an inch. carefully slide up under dew claw without pressing in to the leg and
  8. i allways stip a dog out but with a beardie the coat is much denser than other breeds and retains heat better.
  9. do you noy think that there is to much coat on the beardie cross for our climate. the ones ive worked have nearly died of heat exhaustion trying to cool down even on a cold day, they suffer to much panting even though they are as fit as you can get them.they would be all right in a colder climate.
  10. try a german long haired pointer i believe they take some beating working wise..

  14. the bodies of the badgers should be looked at independently to see if they are road kills and its a publiticy stunt by lacs.
  15. i once seen a gypsys grehound take 12/12. we went to lincon to buy a pup out of this gypo,s grehound and when we got there the yard was full of pups and the bitch was running free. we doubted that the the bitch could kill anything so he just told us to follow him into the field at the back of his yard even though the bitch still had milk on her. sure enough a hare rose 50 ydrs away and no sooner than it got up to it it was dead and bringing it back, then up rose another before it had got to us the bitch dropped the first hare and coursed it round a big field over some plough then turned it fet

  18. chapter two,,the db plummer story. the story moves on when plummer moves to rotherham i,ll quote his words from my diarys.. right my boy i was ratting a team of terriers all decended from mundane and having better longer more intelligent names of the like that no terrier had ever been called. i would enter them to rat then fox then badger as i dont think i ever had a terrier jib to badger like the rest of the terrier world. by the way readers the badger must allways be dead before the dogs are allowed near it. when fully entered to dead badgers then you may try them on hedgehogs.i once entere
  19. i thought it was a house,bars on windows ,,, very familiar
  20. dbp once told me that the hardest biting animal he ever encounted..... had a bite that could shear away skin muscle and bone with one crushing bite was from a farmers wife when he wathed her eat some kfc.
  21. plummer was born in the 1930,s in a small welsh mining vilage. his father was a tennis coach and young plum used to pinch his racket and wack stones at the rats that his mother kept in the back allotment, for keeping rabbits at that time was frowned on by council officials so his mother bred and cooked rats to make into pies as money was in short supply. one daya passing milkman gave bri a terrier pup in exchange for his fathers racket and that my boy is the start of his passion for terriers. the terriers name was very long and biblicle so it was shortend to mundane. mundane grew into superb
  22. an old long dead friend used to hunt a red setter greyhound during the ration time at the second w/war he said it was the best pot filler he ever had.
  23. why does it all end with the kennel club, its a faceless bastion that makes money from the breeding of breeds that cant work or are in the process of being ruined. take crufts show and take a harder look at the judges that judge on written standards that should be used to wipe thier arses. if its just to register a name it will fail miserably with the dogs temperment and working ability.look at all the terriers that are registered and all are fooked up with bad breeding, bad temperments and features that would make their forebares not able to reconise them today.... is that what you want... the
