UK doesn't have the same mindset as the states,it really is a lot more civilised, the people aren't conditioned or inured to gun violence, one thing that surprises me about Canada, sure there's gun violence, even a bloke dressed as a copper last year to go on a murder rampage, but given the close proximity to the states the weekly/daily spree killings haven't caught on here. And the UK clamped down on pistol ownership rabidly.

The states isn't going to change, wishful thinking, there's 20 million AR-15's in circulation, 120'ish guns for every hundred people, a god given right to own as many weapons as you can afford and a wild-west John Wayne gunslinger mindset, its going to continue in the same vein once the dust settles from yesterday's incident.
