  1. Thanks bud, Went to see them today, the one where I got the big un had been moved and the loop was now the size of a tangerine, so reset and the loop to the size of my fist again and raised it up to about 2 inches from the ground. Couple of others got the same treatment as thy had been knocked I finally moved two to more well used runs under the fence. So hopefully more in the morning
  2. Good luck with the traps Shay, I put mine out Friday night, went to see them Saturday after I got up and had one large pregnant Doe that was infested with maggot eggs and flies comming out of the orifices so left her for the flies and fox. Archie, I used to have to write multiple statements almost every day in my last job, think thats how I developed an eye for the details. Who, what, where, when, ho, what weapons were involved, height of suspects, clothes eye colour, hair etc..... you get the picture. Stealthy, Its getting there although I aint actually been counting Davy, I th
  3. Would have given you an SP for that, but none left fortoday Phantom
  4. Went out last night for a while, just a bit of fresh air really. I took my baby out with me too, figured if there was owt to be had, she'd have em Can't remember what time I arrived at the paddock, but went in anyway only a few woodies that made for the sky as soon as I stood up As some of you know, I've been trying to get myself used to the metric system rather than yards etc.. I have also set my zero to get the best of out of the self imposed 2.5 centimetre PBR and it is all perfectly well matched to the M1 scope that I recently bought. At 10 mag the crosshairs will take care
  5. Well done guy's Lovely read Davy Superb shooting Phantom PS Have you ever noticed how quickly a bunnies blood clots in the lug ole?
  6. :11: Would you really shoot them while they are making out? I did  Phantom

  9. Hi Shaun Tip Number one, If you know someone who already lamps, go along with him/her for a bit. Its not that easy to begin with, I found out the hard way I would have loved to have someone guiding me especially when it comes to judging range. Distances look very different from daylight, to dusk to dark, to dawn. Tip Number two, Listen to guy's like Markman, Festa, Stealthy, Davy, Zini etc... I dont think I am that much of an acomplished lamper yet, so thats the only advice I can give youat the moment. Phantom
  10. Hey guy's I love the way Chimp removes the emoticon, to twist my words and make it sound serious, don't you? Chimp, If you wish to make a joke about something, then please feel free to use these little tools called Emoticons, they are to help get across what you type in the way that its meant, otherwise it may not come across as how you wanted it and may offend people. Theres a whole range of these emoticons on the right hand side of the editor when you post, use them, you never know you may find them helpfull. By the way I never said it was illegal to use a shotty against a Fox, I s
  11. Hi Alex, Sorry to hear your leaving us Where you heading? and whats the lamp set up? Phantom
  12. First of all, Let this idiot know that hunting with an Xbow is illegal in this country. Let him know that a shotty is not really adaquate for foxes as you will know unless at close range. Then tell him that if he needs proof of that to look down the barrel of a loaded shotty and pull the trigger. He mustn't move his eye away from the blast though Phantom
  13. :clapper: My first on the wire. Doe was the only one out of the six. Had bloated big time and I could feel 4 or 5 kits inside. When I saw the size I thought "WOW, thats a big fecker" Was going to bring it home, but as I went to empty its bladder, it was covered in maggot eggs and had blue and green bottles comming out of its two holes Will have to check them every 6 hours or so rather than the twelve, less chance of fly infestations. Phantom
  14. Gimmie chance only got outta bed a short time ago. I didn't get to bed til 3am and then couldn't sleep :wallbash: Will have a wander up there in an hour or so stay tuned. Phantom
  15. Same from me Gary Excellent going Phantom
  16. Thank you gentlemen This M1 scope I am getting to grips with very well indeed. Using CGP I have now optimised the zero of the S200 and M1 scope to keep the pellets inside a 1 inch PBR out to almost 30 mtrs. The added bonus is the mildot at 10X Gives almost perfect 5mtr increments Just need a sun shade for it now. I would not have dared to try either of the long range shots with a 30-30 reticle on live quarry. Shay, Yes its the Ultrafire 300 lumen job, bloody good it is Thanks for the Compliments guy's. Phantom
  17. :clapper: :clapper: SPA for that fantastic line

  21. Well Guy's I went back to the Cemetery this evening. Decided I would go through the paddock and sneak up on the bunnies As some of you know, I had pulled off a stonker of a shot on a young Carrion Crow this morning Ranged at 50 mtrs and knocked it beak first off the fence I also had a shot at a Woody but even though I took Pix at the time, I was gutted to see that my phone had malfunctioned and it had not saved the images :wallbash: Well going through the paddock, I figured I could maybe find the Crow from this morning and take another pic. As I headed up the paddock, I notic
  22. Still quite impressive tho at the distance eh Indeed I got one at 55 Mtrs this eve Phantom
  23. Thanks Gentlemen I went back down this evening and before I got the Young Crow for a piccy, I nailed one of his brothers, who was just hopping around the paddock near the fence Seperate write up soon
