  14. Was thinking of fallow pal dogs are strange animals, they will tackle 180 stag, and deer can kill a lurcher, yet a poxey 18lb dog fox, that carnt kill a lurcher, they dont like to tackle .? few nips on the nose from old charlie , soon sorts them (out)that really want it or not. Not a lot will tackle a 180lb stag either, baying or grabbing them once their on floor after been pushed then hitting a fence aren't tackling them too me with a fox or stag you cant put into a dog that the lord hasn't ,here endeth the lesson
  15. I've not got an issue with racing dogs. . . . But there are a lot of folk, who take speciallly bred raced dogs, or even un tatooed greys, and run them at the game fairs and terrier and lurcher shows. . . . It's like a premier league football team doing a tour of the sunday leagues, because they will win a load of trophys. . . You be surprised at the number who do this and show the same time and then get loads of people after them for their stud dog , There's a few on here I know of
  16. Used these over last 2 years always next day delivery no problems
  17. I seen beddywhippet xs catch fallow regular ,never on run or taken clean ,always hitting something and often they were worked in twos ,but I did see them hold fallow on their own against a fence a few times ,never once did they get close to a deer on the run but nearly every time I went out with them they caught fallow even if they were hitting things 100% of time.
  18. We all know what Plummer was a book writer and story teller and i was gutted when i met him in 88/89 in caithness as thats all he ever was in truth , but through my teens his books were the best thing in my life apart from being out doing a bit ,we all have our faults but think he got a lot of lads involved in hunting game
  19. Honda probably about 2 grand for a k one
  20. so what price we talking about for half tidy quad?
  21. How much can you get a half tidy quad for and whats best type/make ?
  22. that would be pointless!!! deer are not designed to run long distances hence they never stroll far from cover.......... How much cover is in the Highlands? mountain regions are slighty different to field after field of flat open land Very true. . . . On a slight tangent. . . . something that i've noticed (I think). . . Is you seem to regularly see roe standing out feeding in the first light, right out in the middle of huge fields, yet don;t seem to see fallow in the same way. . . are they just smarter, more flighty? Or is it because they are in bigger groups,
  23. don't know mate to be honest ,in a litter they went from 23tts to 30tts ,had 2 pups out of same litter off him a big 30tts dog that all was good for was rabbits and a 26tts bitch a good honest type on everything....
