When I was a kid used to get gypsies round that'd sharpen your knives, scissors etc. Did a good job as I recall.
They'd sell you hand carved pegs for your washing line too. Wish I'd rescued a few of them when I cleared my Mums' house a few years back....
Read my post cornio.
They need the fat for energy.....
Fat has twice the energy per gram that either protein or carbohydrate has. Given the short transit, fat is the most efficient way of getting that energy. They need high levels of protein for similar reasons, ie limited time to break down and absorb the food.
I disagree.
Always been told to get the cheap stuff precisely because it is fattier. The reason being that ferrets have a very short digestive transit (about 4 hours) and need to get as much energy as possible from their food.
My most used saying: 'Bollocks!'
Favourite?
Winston Churchill.
And Lady Astor, I think....
'You, Sir, are drunk!'
'Yes, Madam, and you are ugly. But I'll be sober in the morning.'
Smoke yourself half a pack of spanish Ducados fags. That'll put you off for life, Will.
I'll smoke any old crap but those buggers defeated me...
It isn't licensed for ferrets as far as I can recall but the veterinary 'cascade' applies.
In fact very few pharmaceuticals are licensed for ferrets. Delvosterone is the only one I can think of, the 'Jill Jab'.
