  3. Theres been alot of descution about hips not being a hereditry thing, more a small % thats and a larger % food and exersice and up bringing. Take my dog, he's not scored but his brother and sister are. The sire was 6/3 the Dam was 13/5 Brother was 6/6 Sister was 10/9 nethew was 4/5 though with hip score like that, I wouldn't touch the puppie and I would have never bred from the sire it irrisponcable
  4. 2 quetions? how did it lose its eye? and Is it being sold one because it has one eye? Not interested in buying being nosey.
  5. A friend of mine picked up a stray jill resently, who was well in season and very ill, she was so anemic even her ears had gone pale. She was jill jabbed and was well on the mend 24 hours later. I'd personaly would jab her, but would never leave one.
  6. how would she have a season if shes only 7months old, shes not filled out yet because she is still young and growing dogs can have seasons as young as 6 months
  7. Lovely looking dog, needs a little more meat on her, but that will come as she is only young. Has she had a season yet as this may help her mature a little more. well done for taking her on a giving her a chance, hope she turns out to what you want.
  8. one of mine has hayfever, but he never coughs just have very runny eyes and nose. are they one wood shaving wonder if the dust could be getting on his chest?
  9. how old are they? where abouts in wiltshire its a large county
  10. is it deffinotly a cough, or more of a weeze, any runny eye or nose. how old is the ferret.
  11. genral rule if its bace of the tail down to the tip, its normal rat tail, if its bace of the tail up the back, could be adreanal (cancer). all my albinos lose all ther tail fur this time of year.
  12. I would have thought she would keep coming back in untill september, not 100% shore though as I have never bred only jill jabbed and speyed. Though I personaly would have jabbed her the second time so she would be ok to work this season and them try again next year. sorry I can't be more help.
  13. sound like rat tail, hormonal and will grow back in the winter without any help.
  14. whet the differance between the british polecat and the european polecat I thought they where the same thing. I have a low content hybrid and know something with 50/50's
  15. no they went like that after he had a problem with his legs he had knuckling over a few months back but they've straightened up now after ages of crate rest and bandgeing to straighten them I pleased they have sorted themselfs out, my boy has weak pasterns, its not a ovious turn but sometimes he stand and they look terrible, though he coming up 11yrs and had no problem with them so far.
  16. I sorry if this been asked before, but I into dog breeds and why things are bred ect, (my boyfriends anti breeding so having a descution with him is inposable). I'm new to the world of Lurchers, and although I dout I will ever own one there breeding is very interesting as I think they are the only dogs left solely bred to work, everything else you have show lines and working lines. Reading through I note a little resentment towards Bull X's and thinking about it I can understand that, as I not 100% shore what a Bull breed would add to the mix, hound to hound you have speed, hound to te
  17. Its a very good chance he is deaf, are his feet as wonky as they looking in the pic. he looks lovely anyway.
  18. I know many hybrids and non are pitch black, most you wouldn't even know they where from looking at them at all.

  21. you've got real nice looking one's there matey hope they do u proud dont they just look like std polies, maybe bit light in colour tho. my boyftiend love polecats jill and I love a poley with a good mask. nothing wrong with a bog std poley
  22. thats the most male looking jill I ever seen. cute though.
  23. this vet didn't come from hampshire did it.
  24. you can do it, but its very illigal now since the animal welfare act of 2007, only pups that will be worked and only by a vet can be done now. I wouldn't use a lamb ring, it take to long.
  25. Acherly reading and descussing I acherly realised that ferrets and EU polecats are the same thing and it just bepends on handling I supose. I don't mind peole breeding them for working, though I was of the mind that polecats where unhadlable, but there oviously not if bralt up right, nurture over nature I supose. What I do mind is people trying to get dark poleys for the show ring, the other thing that niggles me is pet ferret are getting larger and more unhealthy. I don't see the point in angoras, they don't reproduce properly so they should exsist, it not natral. Droid I liked yo
