Nothing today, be up first thing in morning. Been after sebright hens for ages now and couldn't get any. Got lucky talking to a bloke round corner. Have four silver and one gold egg under. Can't remember what the rest are as we walked round his pen and he just gave me what eggs they had laid that day, and he had a lot of breeds haha
On top of that the other oeg just thinking about going broody haha just hope the minorca doesn't want to to as i'd be getting none for the table.
Finally got round to getting fable 2 yesterday and when i fired it up was pleasantly surprised to hear a famous voice in the intro (zoe wannamaker).
Good idea to use celebrities, but the best was 10 minutes into the game and a villain popped up. Bricktop from snatch haha don't know his real name, but was half expecting him to call me a 'orrible c**t hahaha
Not seen any black ones this year. Have been watching a big buck that seems to have a two tone saddle effect and a few seemingly gunger young uns about too. Population increase on my patch this year too.
my wee girl is 18 months and walking, so will be taking her out on wee walks over the summer to see the dogs. She loves talkng to the dogs through the fence so hopefully she will grow into it as she grows up.
100% spot on advice there. Hopefully a good home can be arranged for it. Worked in reptile trade for few years and I know that who I worked for were selective about what they sold on to pet shops. Responsible shop owners shouldn't stock the larger herps. Always liked monitors but never had setup to keep them, altough we had a water monitor at work who was pushing 8ft and friendly. He was hatched after a gravid female was imported years ago. The female bit the boss wrist and severd all the blood vessels.
Price is a little hopeful, considering the setup will be too wee before christmas
I always would say an average adukt size for a bosc is 4ft, but have potential to go to 6. Either way is a big strong lizard that will eat large food. Too many of these imported and sold young too people with no idea what they are letting themselves into. All the same rewarding to keep if you put the time into them.
one of my bantam hens started to sit so I spoke to a local bantam keeper and arranged for some eggs for her to hatch. Put them under her yesterday, just a case of waiting. Have 4 silver sebright eggs ( at last) 1 golden sebright and half a dozen other eggs from different birds. Got confused with what he had there. But got my sebrights at last, just hope they not all cock birds.
First hens I have hatched so should be interesting.
Really sad news, sorry to hear it. Would feel awful if it was my dogs. is there any possibility that the dogs could have got at anything from the house bins. Have heard of a couple of dogs taking very ill, they got out of their own yard and into another houses bin liners. Either way it is terrible thing to happen.

I keep my chicken house 2ft of ground, rats don't get in, and local songbirds eat as much food as the 3 banties so pen is clean. That and letting the jrt run through the pen most mornings and no rat trouble yet.
