    IF?

No chance, none of the political parties will repeal the hunting ban.Its here to stay so we may as well get used to it.Whole problem with our argument is,that when hunting is mentioned in the media, the voting public always see image's of red jackets on horseback, lording it up.They don't see, miners or factory workers, etc working there dog's,or ferreting etc .Same with the people who should be promoting our sport, and arguing our case, its all for the money people.I've been a member of both, the basc, and the ca,More for insurance than anything else, but i dont believe they give a monkeys about your
  2. She's keen as mustard mate,so i'm having to hold her back a bit,i don't want to ruin her.Shes spot on with the ferrets as well.Don't know whats happened to Archiekale,i've pm'ed him a couple of times but no joy (hope everything is ok). Heres a couple more pics of the pup for you.
  3. Try here, www.gooutdoors.co.uk They have some cracking deals in the sales.
  4. Thanks for the link,i'll have a look.I use milbemax on my dogs, and they work out about £2.00 a piece. As everyone is saying,i used to worm the dogs every 3/4 months, and the pups monthly from 3/12 months.Like sjm said,my dogs are dirty b******s as well,if they go ratting, they all chow down on the catch  and the same with stuff they find, and i can assure you all my dogs are well fed, there just plain dirty, when it comes to crusty rabbits and stuff.
  5. I was waiting for the and Mick and Seamus . Sorry for laughing hunting4life,all the best with your search.
  6. Ricky when you connect the bottle, put the air in fairly sharpish,if you try and bleed it in gently the valve wont seat, and you'll be in the same boat as using the pump.Just be carefull, and keep an eye on the gauge. It might take a few attempts to get the valve to seat, but it will.Been in the same boat maself.Bill P.S dont use all the air when your shooting,if you run it empty, you'll be back where you started.Always leave a wee bit of pressure in the gun,it'll protect the seals, and keep everything tight.
  7. Since i put the dogs on 100% raw i've been worming them every 8weeks,and the pup every 4.Vet reckons they should all be wormed monthly (yes i know she sells the wormers to me).Thing that bothers me is this, are the wormers harming the dogs? i put them on raw because i thought it would benefit them,ie no chemicals from dry or tinned food, but if i'm pumping them full of wormers am i kind defeating the object.?
  8. just force your knuckle into its mouth when it tries to bite, get it past the teeth though else he'll have it off. Worked for me every time.
  9. Ricky try what i said the other night.Put the gun on a divers bottle and whack the valve open a couple of time's.When pumping, there isn't enough pressure behind the valve to shut it properly, but with a blast of high pressure it should reseat, and take the air.HTH's.Bill
  10. I remember when we had them here,37.1/2p if my memory is correct lol.I remember going to buy a couple after being caught with the lurchers where i shouldn't of been,so i was expecting a knock on the door. When i asked the woman at the post office for two dog licences, she scratched her chin and said "can you come back later,i can't remember where they are" shows how many they sold.
  11. Not be having great success with the ferts just lately, but have kept plugging away.Myxy seems to have hammered the rabbits on most of our local bits of permission. For example,me and my lad watched a dozen or more rabbits going in and out of some holes one evening last week, yet when we ferreted the same holes two days later we got got nothing! A chap i know that has some stables, was concerned about the rabbit holes that were appearing in one of his fields,as he rents out stables and grazing, and was worried one of the horse's might put a hoof in one of the hole's.We went down Sunday morning with
  12. I cannot believe some of the comments about Lennox Lewis.I don't care whether he is British or Canadian, and i'm well aware that he was knocked cold by a couple of lesser ranked fighters. He was class, and would of more than held his own with some of the greats.Lennox would have dwarfed most of the great heavyweights of the 50's 60's and 70's,he had a great boxing brain, good hand speed, and was a concussive puncher with both hands.Lennox had one big problem LAZYNESS! he seemed to have great trouble motivating himself to train and prepare for a couple of fights, and he paid the price.Never had probl
  13. PBF is class i'm not questioning his credentials, but i think Ricky will give him plenty to think about. All the so called "unbeatables" down the years have been exposed,Tyson didn't intimidate Douglas, and got a boxing lesson,Roy Jones, finally fought some one on the up,and was hammered,he's never been the same since.PBF was getting comprehensively out boxed and out muscled, untill De La Hoya ran out of gas.Anyone who knows the fight game knows that PBF was beaten hands down by Castillo in there first fight.Roll on dec 8th,lets see how PBF reacts to having Hatton in his face for twelve rounds. If H
  14. Nice one Moll, glad to see someones having more luck than me at the mo.
  15. Good old Ricky think i'd of gone with "fag" instead of "poof"

    question

I'm looking for another collar,if the price is right.
  17. Mate of mine had a couple left, but had someone coming round to see them.If he's still got them i'll pm you,but reckon they might be gone.I'll keep my ears open for you anyway.
  18. Me and my lad thought we would take the ferts out for a quick hour before work, mainly to give the pup a look at the bolters. Most of our usual warrens are still covered with undergrowth, so that was a no no.Plan two,was a few warrens on the edge of a wood, that never gets any heavy cover. We found a nice clean 6 holer and put the jill down,20 mins later we have one rabbit, two bolters, and no jill.Typical, you plan a quickie, and you get a sitter.Located her at 4 foot, and started digging, ten minutes carefull digging, and she moves!.We did eventually get her out of the next dig,and headed home. But as
  19. Keep us posted with the results of the test's Moll. That bitch of mine is still getting the bald patche's,hair falls out,no swelling or redness, few days later it starts growing back, then falls out the other side.
  20. She's 171/2" tts mate, she was looking a wee bit leggy for a while but she's starting to fill out a bit now.Have to keep putting her on the lead, she's mad for running (and quick for a pup) don't want any more injury's,gave me fright when her leg started swelling so quick, after the last fall. She's comin on well mate.
  21. Turn automatic updates off,and see what happens.
  22. Couple of people asked me for pics of my young un,can't be bothered to upload them to photobucket to pm them so thought i'd stick them here, sorry mods. She's almost 8 months old now,and was laid up for a couple of weeks, after twisting a tendon, but seems fine again after a bit of rest. Not pushing her obviously, but she had a couple of myxy rabbits while out walking yesterday evening, and something seemed to click with her.She seems to know what her job is now,so i had to get her back on the lead and calm her down a bit.Fingers crossed she'll do me proud, mooching with her after christmas.
  23. Handsome looking beast mate.Looks more wheaton than greyhound,or is it just the pic's ? Very tidy all the same.
