One of the fields on my permission had potatoe's in it this year.I was up there one day and seen what i thought were young rabbits,going between the potatoe's and a ditch/stream that borders the field,not rabbits,but rats! dozens of them. :sick:

Absolutely spot on mate.One of my terriers was constantly covered in falky skin,and kept getting bald patches.I started giving her 500mg of evening primrose oil every other day,and she's not had a problem since.

Out again last thing yesterday with the ferts,or should i say "killer ferts" We ended up with three for the pot,but we had to work for them.Three bloody times the ferts killed to ground! I'd expect one or two now and again but three the same day? We tried the hob first,only down seconds and we could here the rabbit sqealing.We hoped it would get away from him and bolt but no,after 10 mins it was out with the spade.Just started to break through,and the little s***e pops out a hole 10 feet away! Running dogs are sprinters,so ideally they need to be able to get up to speed quick and maintain it for a resonably short period of time.Trotting behind a pushbike isn't doing anything for the dog As Wilf said the best form of exercise for a running dog is WORK i.e. running after its quarry.Sprinters train by doing lots of short fast runs,they don't go out pottering along for 4 or 5 miles.All roadwork would do for a dog is,knock a bit of weight off and tone the muscle,it won't improve cardio vascular,or muscle mass unless it was very intense (short and fast). 30 divided by 5 means 6mph. So you must be walking very fast!! Right, here we go. Ive got two conflicting answers here and its doing my head in!! I refer to my earlier answer....................Both people here have degrees!! Laura says: 30 mins divided by the distance of 5 miles = 6 mph. Declan says: if you drove at 10mph (MILES PER HOUR!!!!!) for 60 minutes (1HOUR) you would drive 10 miles in an hour!
