Very strange, all the filth mongers lurking in the background, us filth mongers contributing to the "iffy" content of the thread, and not one slagging off fuckwit has reared it's ( note I sait "it's" and not his or her, got to be pc these days dont you know) ugly head. I have dealt with Mike a couple of times, and would go as far as to say he's always struck me as a genuine chap, thats as near to a reference as I can give seeing as i've never met him face to face. I would have no quarms at all about him tagging along had I been nearer .

No matter how big and well developed a yound dog may look, or actually be, if he's not allowed time to mature mentally then you could be wasting a young dog's future by trying him too early, a dog that, had he been allowed time to mature mentally, would probably have a fuller and longer working carreer on "heavier stuff" than one entered too soon. I had the same experience with CMW. Once Diamond publishing took over they didn't want "grass roots stuff" as Tracey Allen described it when she approached me to write a few articles. I think Penny Taylor gives you a grass roots reply with the advantage of practical experience, I think she has more common sense and knowledhe than your likely to find at a "look down your nose at you" vet, I have often wondered if i should pm her and ask her if she has experience in the veterniary field given her pratical knowledge. When the paint is still wet, throw some dry sand over it, not loads, just enough, you'll get plenty of grip then, hope this is of some use to you. It'll set inm the paint as it dry's. B

The size of the fields where I live, by the time you open the gate get back in its time to get back out and open the f****n gate again , I have never done it "from a motor", and I dont think I ever would, it just doesn't appeal to me, nor is the ground i use conducive to it. When I get home after a nights lamping, I like the dog to be tired and my back to be soaking wet from my exersion ( not the heater control stuck on). Shredded paper, a good depth of it in winter, not so deep in the warmer times. Try and get a regular supply and build it up during the summer months, as when your dogs are wet during winter, while drying them off, it does, after being wet enough, go off like paper mache', but its easily burned. B

I had cream legbars myself, the cockerals are spectacular, the eggs are a lovely blue colour, but the hens were as mad as a box of f****n frogs. If you want real blue eggs , go for the Auracanas.
