  1. THIS IS NOTHING TO DO WITH DEER AND SHEEP, ITS TO DO WITH HARE AND SHEEP i had a lurcher a number of years ago, he was a nightmare with sheep, got him off a young guy that let him run riot on a farm, it took a while but i managed to break him until one morning he was onto a hare (pre ban) and when he missed the hare, he was on his way back to me and some sheep got up in front of him and he got hold of one!!!!!! he got a swift boot up the arse for this and i was on my way before we both got shot! i think the reason he done this was due to the fact the young guy i got him off of let him run

  17. hi, i got a lurcher pup last week and am seriously thinking about getting another one to give the wee one some company. i have space in my kennel for another dog but cant take up anymore of the garden to build another kennel/run. whats the best to get? a bitch would be fine until she breaks then i would need to seperate them which i dont have the option to do. if i got a dog, would there be a possibility that they will fight when they get older or would they be ok if they are brought up in the same kennel from pups any advice is greatly appreciated mass123

  23. i like the greyhound x deerhound had a saluki / grey x grey / whippet a few years ago, he was reluctant to strike and yapped like mad when ever he was on a run, i was told by a guy that is regarded as a well educated doggy man that the yapping and reluctance to strike was the "saluki" in him, since then i have never looked at the saluki x, until now......... my new pup has a touch of saluki in him, i have read lots about the saluki though and they seem to have endless stamina which is greatwho knows i may change my views and my mind in a few years about them but right now, for me, its got t
