    Round our way the impact of urbanisation and a change in farming practices has devastated the local wildlife population. No hares, no grey patridge. Ponds filled in farms demolished to make way for industry. Hardle any bunnies either.. What we do have is more roe deer than you can shake a stick at.

    You need to check out an OS map maybe this will be of some use Rannoch and Tummel includes Kinloch Rannoch Rannoch and Tummel is a very distinct area of Highland Perthshire and indeed of Scotland. As you head off the A9 towards Rannoch you will come to Queen’s View, one of Scotland’s most photographed views. It was named after King Robert the Bruce’s queen, not queen Vicotoria as she mistakenly wrote in her diary of her travels.     Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing if they reached a balance, there's loads of buzzards about round here these days.. They're both native birds so they did exist side by side together at one point.. We got plenty up here
