  1. Whats liver fluke mate? Just had a quick look in my rabbit book and it looks like COCCIDIOSIS its a parasitcal illness normally found in rabbits that live where there are sheep or a high number of deer.
  2. Like you say localyokel it keeps them sweet. Her husband will not eat rabbit for some reason, but she loves it as long as i gut first which isn't a problem. I shot some rats for her near her chicken shed and the next time i came down she gave me a carrier bag full of mushrooms to say thank you.
  3. Have to agree with you rob, when i was up there was a rabbit about 45-50yds away and there was a wind blowing from the left and the teacher said he will get that i was thinking no way next thing i know the rabbit is kicking its last in the air,he also shot 2 or 3(can't remember) rabbits in under 2 mins one after the other .
  4. Your right rob,i did have a good teacher i can now hit a rabbit at 35yds . Must say though he is a bloody good shot,i taught him all he know's .
  5. My sights were zeroed in at 30yds so i just adjusted my aim point for rabbits that were less then 30 or where at 35 yds. I don't shoot past 30 yds if i can help it as i not the best shot in the world. I know people who can kill rabbits at 45 yds but i am not that good yet. So i would say if your can hit the spot at 30/35 yds then zero your scope to that distance.
  6. Not 100% but it could be liver fluke
  7. You've probable got no meat to get bit on I get bit when i am sat outside the pub having a fag in the smoke shelter, they have one of them heat lamps and i read somwhere they attract mozzies don't know if its true or not but i have been bit more this year then another year.

  11. That little terrier is a fantastic ferreting dog,it marks the setts then sits down will you net up then when you enter the ferret still stays sat there none of this poking its head down the hole while rabbits are bolting, when the rabbits do bolt he holds them in the net till you get there and then lets go striaght away and goes and waits for the next to bolt. The bit i liked the most was when we was going round doing the drystone walls the dog marks them in the walls, then woodga goes and pulls them out,the dog also catches them in the rushes and long grass. He is a cracking little dog a treat to

  20. Thanks lads for a great night I had never been lamping with lurchers before and all i can say is WOW even though i was really knackered i would not have missed it.The lurcher was doing some great catch's. WOODGA and ROB where out in front with me lagging behind, rob kept popping back to see how i was and telling me what was going on,Thanks ROB TOP BLOKE,because to be honest half the rabbits i didn't see them till the dog got them moving the ones that were just squatting i could not see,but then again i think i was sleep walking . 23. I drive for a living and the things i see on the roads, makes me wonder how people passed the tests. One day i was driving just gone round a roundabout to contiune on the deul carrigeway i was on,there was a HGV in the left hand lane so i decide to go round,i just got round the loory when i looked up and there in the lane was a car that had stopped,so i hit the brakes, shut my eyes and sh1t my pants i stopped yds away from the car,i got out shaken like a leaf and went upto the other driver and asked why he had stopped.............And his answer he had took the wrong turn off the round about
  24. Well done mate. My first permission many moons ago was a little bowling green,i had a little field to control the rabbits that were getting on the boweling green. On this boweling green was a farmer who loved his game off bowels on a sunday,he saw me one day and asked what i was upto so i told him and he asked me to meet at his farm the next day,so i went and he gave me permission to go on his farm to control the rabbits, which i had for ten years till he moved to spain and solded the farm. Stick with your one field and more will come .GOOD LUCK MATE keep us posted.
