  1. Hi commando welcome to the site :welcomeani: .One of the reasons i left the bipod is becasue where i shoot, its normally from a dich bottom with the rifle just poking over the bank or in long grass and weeds etc so 9 times out of 10 the bipod will behidden from view any way.The other reason is the bipod legs might get jammed when i put them back in. I noticed it looks abit shiney it might have something to do with the light above the rifle when i took the photo,i will get it out in the field and try it.
  2. Hi ARCHIEKALE,the bipod is a harris bi-pod modal number 25 swivel base and it cost £89.99. It is great for rabbit shooting, just laying in a hedge bottom waiting for the rabbits to come out. DARREN M,i used two rolls for mine, its the tape that peels off and does not leave marks. Thanks j darcy for your comments,i know i still have to use field craft but i think it will help me blend in a bit more.
  3. Hi darren thanks, its the pvc(i think thats what it is)gun tape
  4. ARCHIEKALE you was the one who got me thinking about putting the camo on my gun i saw your thread and thought very nice i could do that. I had to use a bit off duct tape on a few little bits, like you say when you fold it over it does not stick very well. What was the hardest part on your rifle to do?.Mine was the bit where the silencer met the barrell,i just could not get it to look right, after many temper tantrums i got there in the end . You have done i cracking job there mate, well done.

  14. Hi folks,my grandad died in jan of this year, and while cleaning his house out,i found all his stuff from the 2nd world war like his dog tags and demob jacket and other bits and bobs.I found a piece of paper which i think he got when the war was over,it says something about the medals he earned and if he wanted them to go to a address on the paper, but the paper as a stain over the address and i can not make it out. I would like to get his medals so i can put them in a picture frame with a photo of him to hang on the living room wall.So if anybody knows of an address could they please let me kn

  16. Thanks for the replys everyone.I know its not to everyone's tastes,i like to see a rifle looking traditional, but i use this rifle for pest control .Its a standard 11.5ftlbs rifle so i have to get pretty close my max range is 30 yds,i know people will say they shoot out to 40-50yds with a standard airifle, and well done to them, i wish i could hit quarry at them ranges but i have not been shooting airguns that long so i am not confident yet over 30 yds and i will not risk wounding just to see if i can do it.So i will keep practising on paper targets till that time comes. So if the cammo gives me
  17. The gun tape i bought was off that well know auction website. It cost £4.99 a roll,i bought two rolls but when i put the first roll on it didn't look right so i took it off and started again, thats why i did not have enough to do the scope.I might do the bi pod not sure yet because it might get stuck when i try to push the legs back in.
  18. I shoot a few crows with my airifle, and as you know they have very good eye sight, and even if i make a hide which i think the crows will not see me,i know the sun will get through and shine of the rifle barrel,as i sit in the hide with the rifle just poking out,to avoid any unwanted movement.I know i could have done just the barrel and silencer but i thought i have plentyof time i will do the lot. When i go shooting rabbits i get in to a hedge bottom with my cammo on.One day i did this,i had to answer a call of nature,so i left my jacket near the hedge and walk away,on the way back i noticed

  22. I was sat at home off work with a hernia, and getting bored out of my brains then i saw a post on here where somebody, can't remember who,had put cammo on their rifle. So i thought feck it,i will try that and here is my end result. If you have any comments that might in prove it please let me know. I had to use a gun sock for the scope because i ran out off tape I know its too different realtree patterns, but thats what happons sometimes when you buy off a know auction site.
  23. As usual somebody jumping down somebodys throat for asking a question .The lads as just started,at least he as asked for advice before trying to do it on a live rabbit causing it pain and suffering.Everybody's got to start somewhere. He is asking before he goes ferreting,so he as a idea of how to go on. I suppose you just dived in and got it right first time did you? Edited to add welcome to the site HUNTER :welcomeani:
