  2. I've fed the contents of an agg once a week for quite some time now. Last week though I fed the entire egg and next day the dog had a bloody stool, I'm thinking the shell might have scratched her innards? Ive went back to egg contents only since then and no more complaints.

  15. I'm thinking that this is what my lakeland has right about now. I took her to the vet a couple weeks back and they thought she had snorted something up her nose and then that had become infected. They gave me a ten day script of clavamox 125 twice a day. Well long story short, she still has a congestion deal going on and a early morning nose snot issue. Anyone have any ideas on what next to do? I can go back to the vet again of course, but maybe I can cure this myself?
  16. my lakeland popped a couple holes in a toad a few months back. She foamed abit about the mouth and was slow for a few days after that. Shes back up to speed now.
  17. I've a 2002 forresterS It has a little over 100,000 miles on it just now, and I had all the fluids and belts and all that done at the dealership. The car runs great. No squeeks, no rattles solid little car all the way around. That being said its mostly all highway miles, but I'm certainly not afraid to take offroad, granted its not a jeep rubicon, but it does a good job, just replaced the tires and went from yokohama to michelin harmony's and picked up a couple more miles off a tank of gas. My forrester is also a demon in the snow, she loves it. Just had a tarp made to fit over the back seat w
  18. Just curious as I have never used poison, but how soon after ingesting the stuff does the rat die? any chance of a dog getting a hold of a rat in the process of dying and chomping it open and getting poisoned himself? And if not coming across a rat in the throes of death, what do you do to keep the dogs out of the poison pile? I could take my dogs to some pretty industrial areas, but I've always been cautious because of the wide use of poisons in those settings. thanks fellas
  19. Bolohan, was the pup going apey? Had my two out just last night and the lakeland had treed a racoon along the river bank and it jumped in the water to get away. the pup decided that it would be agreat time to voice his opinion of coons in his neighbourhood, and from what i could tell he wasnt for it in the least,
  20. be easy fellas, be easy, This is my first pup, and as I mentioned in the first post, I thought that with the ear standing up we might run into a better chance of having some chit getting in there. Nothing to do with appearance at all. maybe my skins a lil thin tonite, I'm not sure. Makes sense about the foxs ear though doesnt it? I'm never going to be the one to apologize being the new guy in the room, we've all had to be that guy at some point or another. Its like we tell the new hires at the railroad, there is no such thing as a dumb question. Thanks again to all
  21. Not sure which type of new guy bothers you more? The know it all , you can't tell me anything type or the I have no idea what I'm doing , so I'm here for advise type? Maybe the admin could put up a new section for newbies asking newbie type questions so as not to ruffle your feathers as much? let the old heads who don't mind helping the new fellas out help , and all would be happy.....
  22. Is there a secret handshake and are the meetings every second thursday or every third wednesday of the month? ceremonial shovels and spades replacing trowels and aprons?
  23. Ive got this jrt pup , and his left ear is now standing up , he is 11 going on 12 weeks old. Ive had him since 6 weeks old, this whole time his ears have been uniformly folded over. Now will this go away, i mean fold back over? with this ear standing straight up he's going to get alot more chit in his ear and if i can get it to fold back over id like to do that. Ive been told it has to do with teething? And ive also heard that reducing protein in his diet canhelp lay that ear back down? Does any of this make sense? any help appreciated.
