  1. This is my little JRT , 11" at the shoulder, spans at 12.5" and weighs 12lbs, good nose , works a smart distance, good all rounder, been on coon (above and below), possum, and small enough to get the groundhogs. I'd have no second thoughts about putting him in the ground with a fox. Ive more pics posted of him doing his work on the old fashioned jrt thread
  2. http://www.dogtrotter.net/ All the questions about those particular mills answered there, by the man himself.
  3. And you all go on and on about the yanks having a row, you all are just as bad !
  4. Tim, jagd, whoever you are, coming down on Doc for for being a bully and then talking that shit? Can't hold a man in the the gutter without being there yourself fool......
  5. Edwards-I first met you on the www, same as Mosby ...did I treat you unfair, or try to tell you how you should do things? Take care. Doc you are a bully and Dan edwards is fat! Take that bitches! I'll press slam you son! Dan , I'm thinking steady has ate a few snickers since last you saw him, press slam him? That is retard strength if you can do that.....
  6. Reads to me that Mosby is giving scattergun answers to bullet questions. Calling it like you see it and calling BS is far far from bullying, its getting to the point. If you are gonna post on any public forum , you better be ready to take some flak , if you think all the replies you are gonna get are rainbows and puppy dogs, well you are just plain wrong.
  7. Get the carhartts , and run em thru the wash with some canvas tent waterproof. hang em to dry, you will be all set. Nikwax makes some good wash in water proofing.
  8. When you get your new dog home, takes some pics and put em up?
  9. STUNTMAN has a thread on the go right now about Den Terriers, thats the size you want for your rabbits Id guess.
  10. The ultimate all rounder for me is a year rounder. Small enough to successfully get after the early season ground hogs, and smart enough, strong enough to keep the winter raccoons pinned down til the calvary comes. Ive a couple 13 lbers that fit the bill.
  11. KawValley, I didnt see any pics posted, did your Darby die? Sorry to hear that.
  12. pretty straight forward questions I think... Im not second guessing anyone that I have talked to in the past about this, just fleshing the topic out a bit more. I dont own a lurcher now, never have. Ive worked with only one collie lurcher and she was grown when I first saw her. What physical cues do you look for in a keeper? What physical cues do you steer away from? same questions apply to a lurcher pups disposition , whats good , whats bad ?
  13. Bob, good to see you on here , say hi to the missus for me, put up your pics and tell your story about the bobcat?, its a good one and the people will like it. Hope all is well , happy hunting. Paul
  14. Waz, why do you say that? I have the round mouth shovel and the rubber handled spade and they are tops in my book. Have you used the king of spades? If so where did they fall short and in your opinion what is better?
  15. Im posting this one in the general section, cause we didn't get a thing... LOL I have a new permission not 5 minutes from my house, right now its 400 acres of corn and bean farm, it keeps getting larger everytime I go back to talk with the farmer and he tells me about another property he farms just up the road or wherever and so Ive been waiting for the fields to dry up a little bit and got out yesterday to hunt this new property for the first time. The farmer came up to the car when i was getting my shovels out and turning the collar on. He wants to talk, and give me new permissions so I poli
  16. Ohh I see how my Rita rates.... LoL , Griz you know Im playing. She hunts as soon as she hits the ground, she fits pretty much everywhere with minimal work, but when she does hit an obstruction, she is relentless in her work to get past it to get to her quarry and once there she stays working intelligently until dug. Thank You again sir.

  17. Steady, not that I didnt believe you, I was looking for a bit more info from others on what to do and not do, to be honest Im a bit nervous about messing with em. How far off does yours read versus the measuring tape?
  18. 64 views and no one has anything to say about the subject? Maybe you know a lad who has done it? not that you would do it cause that would void whatever agreement is made with deben of course..... Im looking to hear about the LRT in particular,
