  1. Nice pics there Bolohan, Im betting by now that theres not much left of the fox? Have the eagles picked him clean yet? Keep the pictures coming .... Maybe we'll get to snap a few of both the new pups together here soon.
  2. The brown eye eh?, nice, hope to get some pics of clay up soon myself.
  3. I hope that bottom works as well as he looks , he is spot on in my opinion.
  4. read the other day someones been done for doing this very thing, littering apparently. FFS! That's just the small minded, jacked up little Hitler attitude that I'm so glad I've left behind, mate. I mean, in a city centre precinct, ye can see it. But anywhere half 'natural'? They'll be fining dead animals next, and birds, for 'defacing' the trees they shit on! 'Mind you; I Did say " Where people won't mind ". Granted. May be a somewhat taller order than I'd envisaged. Good grief! I'd missed all this! I could swear some people join this site just to ta
  5. Well my lakeland enjoys the process as well, i've only ever used my fingers and her coat gets more and more wirey everytime i go about it. Shes a rescue and the previous people were clipper people. My maggie is now showing hertrue colors ,a nice dark black and a rusty orange instead of an all over dead grey colour. What a diference. Shes a great dog for sure, but i went and picked up a new jrt pup yesterday just becauase of all the work involved in pulling the coat. Its going to be short coated dogs for me from now on.
  6. Hey there, hows that pup of yours working out? 3/4 patt 1/4 jack eh? Think I've got a right ripper lined up to pick up on friday night myself. Talk to you

  10. I have the same problem with my lakeland, came home the night of july the fourth, she had worn her mouth to bleeding she had been barking at the screen in the window for hours im guessing.
  11. I'm curious, is there a way to follow certain peoples posts. I know how to see everything ive ever posted or replied to, what Im curious about is there a way to follow others posts the same way?
  12. All right then another day passes and no one wants to add to our thoughts..... Well maybe I'll go back to the idea of having people give suggestions as to proper blood lines that they'd ike to see continue on. Happy hunting.... Hastings
  13. ok so i'm sttng up this scenario the way i want......you are getting put on an island..... you can take four patts with you to this island two males two females..... your foundation stock right? what four patts would you take with you ? please be as specific as possible. New life oppurtunity may be on the horizon, including time and cash to really get into defining what i think might make a perfect patterdale. Am interested in seeing the different blood people might think are important to keeeping this terrier working.
  14. i've rerailed boxcars with a smaller chain, but i am interested in that collar, where'd you get that? good looking dog
  15. those dogs would love a visit to my neck of the woods, running trains through industrial detroit, rat heaven!!
  16. Well that is an idea but I dont think its gonna stick, yeah she pants when shes in the car but there are plenty of other times as well. I'm thinking that its directly connected to her surgery. I'm thinking shes going to have to be relegated to house pet and the search for a fully functioning dog is going to have to start here shortly.Seems to me there is so much more to choose from on your side of the atlantic. patterdale this time for sure and from a pup. Now Ive just got to find some people around here who can help me get in touch with some good dog people.
  17. the dog is kept in very good shape hardly any sort of treats in this house. Not overweight at all. When I did get her I kind of put the cart in front of the horse. I knew about the breed but had never seen a dog go to ground but thought at the time that if she showed an interest in it well then all the better. She is a great a great little dog ( pulled her first ground hog last week, we caught sight of it about 15 yards from its hole and I let her off the lead and she got hold of it just after it had entered the hole) And just so people know she is not a total mute, there is teeny little bark
  18. I've rescued a lakeland bitch now five years old and she was debarked by the previous owner, I can't understand why its totally not in her nature to bark in the first place.... But what I'm wondering is this ...Did this surgery make my lakie more prone to panting cuz she does alot of it almost so much that I don't want to take her out in the car she gets so annoying. Not the way you want to feel about your dog.
  19. good looking dog there, now whats barf? Bones and Raw Food? just guessing but whatever good shiney coat on your pat.
  20. Mine loves the hose, she is relentless if I don't stop she'd pop from swallowing so much water, you can watch her sides swell as she is constantly 'biting' the jet of water. but other than that she doesnt get much of a cleaning. In the winter I'll give her a good rub down in the snow seems to do the trick.
  21. rescued a lakeland here in the states totally not a working dog now what do i do? i mean shes a great house dog but worthless as a hunter...... really only have room for one dog at current time and she won't hunt, now what
  22. yeah that makes sense to me too! if thats a pic of you at seven feet then you must be fourteen feet tall seeing as that you are bent over at the waist and back paralel to the top o the hole but then again you might be on a ledge that drops another five feet or so.... but whatever was the hunt a success? happy hunting
