Normally a bit of blood is a indecation she's about to start given bith if you cant hear squeaking in a day or so pick her up and gently feel her belly and you will know if your unsure she will come back into season soon and you will know for sure

Its never a vet and when you mention ferret they say i will need to speak to the exotic vet

I would always advise folk to phone and ask for a price but there reply is roughly £50/£60 then they think nothing of sticking a extra £20 on top and when you question it The reply it was only a ROUGH estimate ,we sit back and take this to bloody often

aye nobody near you that you could swap then for rabbits pigeon's etc for the ferrets

You can see where all the problems come from with some folk not keen on taking there ferret to a vet £30 consultation fee before the vet starts it soon mounts up for a £5 ferret .Its all about the pound at the vets today animal care just doesn't come into it

Christ that's a bit old for jills to be eating them there might have been another problem and the kitts started dying and the jills where eating them to keep the nest area clean

Same here £30 consultation fee and they know sweet fa about ferrets you got to go onto the natational ferrets site to get a list of ferret friendly vets

Whats wrong with putting a battery in a collar get somebody to hide it in the garden and you popping a battery in the box and looking for the collar .That way you will know if they work and the depth wheel works true. I dont think you will get a wiring diag as debens scrape the numbers off the components to stop them being copied

I like working clubs and i like the idea of a ferreting competion but the only thing is with clubs they tend to hold shows in the summer time to raise funds and im not a showy person . i prefer to use a snipped hob rather than cull and my reasons are simple the few ferrets i breed i can get rid of .the last time i breed a load of kitts and advertised them folk came to see the ferret kitts and every question was how much is this how much is that ans half the time these guys dont show up or use visiting litters of pups ,kitts as a day out so i just refuse to take part in the game

You dont kneed to look at profiles you can guess most of the ages by looking at there questions and answers . Im no keen on putting pictures up or filling in my profile

Getting back to the question it will surely depend on how many jill's you have and how many you breed ,i reckon all the no's are coming from folk that only have a couple of jills ??
