i got a strong flat bladed bulldog from a carbootsale and took the angle grinder too it. turned it into a a curved blade and sharpend it up nice. allso got a small one thats not all that strong but ideal for some situations :whistle: ill try get some pics up after if youd like to see them??

got a gas rammed webley xocet k here with silencer not being used as much as it should. have a look in the for slaes section if you want pics of it.

i bought a mk1 when the mk 11 came out as i herd the mk11 was crap. if i was buying now i would get the mk111 however i havnt used it so am not in the place to really say so im just going on what ive herd on them allso the mk1 components arnt being made fullstop so once there broke thats it unless you can find some s/h. but the noise on the mk111 drives me crazy!!

thanks mate, i went out last night. same setup just a different bait and time. was using worms that had a bit of vanila cake flavouring over them and got 1 on the second drop in. hooked into another 3-4 but was just pulling the worm slowly out of the water to recast then i would feel the tug and it would spit the hook out. these fish dont take and run they just take and stay there for more food so its difficult to tell when youve got a bite. came homwe just as it was getting dark chuffed. i never usually get anything on the river so was pleased. ill try and get out again tonight and get a pick

cheers mate, i went out last night for a hour or two on the river by me and caught jack! now these fish arnt very big theres a few not bad ones in some spots but mainly quite small. i took bread and a few dog biscuts with me. some hard some soft and some corn flakes. they wernt interesed in any of them. i chucked some bait in to see if they would take it and had the baits going right past the fish, above and below the surface but still nout. one came to look at a floating dog biscuit but never took it so its not that they were seeing the line. if it matters i was using a small rod old rod with

i tied a dead mouse to some fishing line and chucked it into my chicken pen and started moving it. they were slightly nervous first but then one nailed it. pecked it and chucked it up in the air and wouldnt leave it, the chicken managed to get it off the fishing line with 1 peck/fling aswell. i shot a rat in there run aswell last summer and once it was shot they all ran over and started laying in to it. one picked it up and was running round with it followed by the others trying to get it

ive heard the best place for tuning is the webley venom shop but unfortuantly they closed down i beleive. but ive heard a rumour that there opening up again but dont know how true this is....

i saw a longnet for sale on one of the forums think it was this one and rabbithunter. if it was ryan selling it he's a top fella and he may even set it up in quickset for you if you ask nicely. other than that theres brinded

yeah i found they did catch well mike just the mess they get in afterwards. supose they would be ok on mown short grass otherwise they would no doubt catch. we were ferreting a hegerow with them once and the 4z net caught the rabbit but picked up every little peice of shit around with it! thorns, sticks, even grass. half of that stuff wouldnt of been in it if the net was hemp or propper spun nylon and just a quick shake would of got it all out. but i 'spose i may of just got away with using them on cut grass, just a shame theres non of them burrys round here.

just go round the feilds were your going too ferret and see how big the burries are then youll know how many nets to take plus a few extra as theres allways some bolt holes that you miss first off. cut the rings off the nets youve got if there 4z and make some spun nylon and hemp nets with them. spun nylon net a heavyer style spun nylon net. hemp net. ive started making a longnet a while ago, wish i never bothered now. much easyer and quicker to do pursenets. only about another 30 odd feet to go.....

anyone tried those brass colour callers? there about 2-3 inch long and have a small tube with the mouth peice on and a flared end section that goes flat with a small hole in it at the end. heard someone testing one out at the gamefair and they sound quite good to me but, what'cha think??

most of the modern rifles now arnt that loud and most can be fitted with a silencer wich decreases the sound dramaticaly. you can either charge them up via a scuba tank or a pump. some say the pumps are too hard but i find them ok but then again im quite young so should! just use the breathing air not oxygen or other gasses if using a bottle. i cant remember the equation to convert ft/lbs to fps but its on the web somewere and no doubt someone will post it up.

My main point really was to make sure you can do it properly before you go catching them and wondering what to do next, was thinking the same myself, i do it the same way as gordon says, grab the rear legs and the neck in your other hand with palm facing its skull, put your 4 fingers under the chin and stretch and direct the head upwards asif it looks at you. you may have a bit of fun on your first few goes but should pick it up. and then youll get a tuff 'un ive tried that way ryan but couldnt do it, would be handy to know as you say for the tuff ones or when there in the nets. m
