  3. Just received some quotes. Those that have had theirs fitted, if you don't mind, what did you get charged to fit the stove? I'm more interested in the liner costs. Bear in mind I'm in the south so prices may be a little higher then normal. cheers.
  4. Thanks for your replies, I have a few people coming over to quote me on supply and fit. So if there are any fitters who are qualified and willing then please PM me. Cheers.
  5. I'm using the Tracer Sport 170 variable. People are going to say good and bad about every lamp out there, just go with what you can afford and look after it.
  6. Yes Weasel the whole shebang!..... I'd better say "No don't be silly Weasel of course not!" I'm glad Moll has mentioned "Day off" rest is also just as important to the dog, however I tend to do this when the season kicks off. So talking of season, I wonder how many people change there regime when it's in full flow?
  7. 1 hour in the morning and afternoon every single day in all weathers. At weekends they have about 2 hours walk morning and afternoon. I do fluctuate the methods. Sometimes they follow me behind the truck at a steady 10mph or so, and this would be for 15minutes before or after the walk. I have never calculated the millage.
  8. no more than any of the other jeeps that went. the lanes that we did were meant to be some of the hardest lanes in the uk. not one jeep that went didnt get stuck on more than one occasion Well I'll be dammed! I had a 2.4TD cherokee, great off road on light terrain, but something like in your pictures it would struggle BIG TIME!
  9. Duckwing, great post and thank you Well those Hitches in the picture are from Bellefarm. I think I'll order the short hitches for now and see how I get on. That's the trouble I've had , the stags pick and pick and eventually are free, sometimes within minutes!

  13. Last chapter otherwise Artic will punish me for this. If you liked what you have read and want to know how this and many other excursions have unfolded then the book will be out very soon. The first dog is released into the distance, shortly followed by the second whilst the third remained with me. A quick trot, then a sniff on the ground, then another shuffle, a quick look up, ears pinned back they powered it on towards their findings. Up to 100yrds I could see the dogs running almost neck and neck, all I could do now is wait for that distinctive sound. I do not want to be hearing a d
  14. With the dogs on the leads we walk along side the spinney keeping close to it’s branches to blend in. This full moon will show a field mouse let alone two men and three dogs. Carefully placing each footstep into position trying not to step on anything that will spook or attract attention we walked on. To the edge of the spinney is an old disused farm house with a few barns. I’m not too sure when this place was last occupied, or who by. The building was literally a wreck, but due to it’s location not many people knew it was there. “Right then Skin, I’ll go and collect it, be ready, and we
  15. It's amazing how many different interpretations there are from person to person. Sorry if hunting hasn't been mentioned as yet, I could of gone straight to the point, but that's just boring and it's not the way I work, however I promise you readers that this will happen soon.
  16. The caffeine had taken effect and my land rover smelt like an ice cream van, he really needs to change his flavour of tobacco. The second owl played chicken with my windscreen, and the deer were happily foraging beside the road sides. Destination is near, I look into my rear mirror and see all the dogs standing with keen eyes looking out of the windows. Most of the journey they were huddled up together looking rather cosy, it's funny how they know when you arrive at certain location. A sharp left hand turn takes us down a snake road, here I flick the lights off and use the full moon to

  20. The phone rang whilst at work "Hello Skin you fancy a little walk tonight" Skin has been my nick name since I was a youth. "Yeah why not, come over at midnight, i'll leave the back door open for you" That put a smile on my face, I had been working all week, slaving away to hit deadlines, a night out was needed and it couldn't of come at a better time than this. Now Giles was a friend who would do anything for you, no excuses, truthful and honest. He was a keen lurcherman, fisherman, and an excellent trapper. He owned one ugly saluki cross which when people saw her would always comment on he
