Ive had my day with harrier rioting on hare and deer thanks

Had a few days from hell id reather forget ill not go into full details on here but we have lost three hounds two them where very good dogs one was my best marking hound if anyone knows of anyone parting with any hounds could you please pm me i know in hounds money doesnt change hands but if thats what someone wants then it wont be a problem or we have afew young pups that id be willing to let them have im really stuck

There are two marking harriers on donedeal there at the minute for those intrested

If you wanted it picked up id drive down for you and put on transporter in the north if your intrested

Shoot them only joking its alot easyer if you have older dogs broke to them already but its just the same as stock breaking with sheep walk them where there is plenty of hares when they go to put there nose down on the line tell them no hares and repeat if all eles fails shock collar what breed of hound have you got young man

He rekons there all spoke for Ive had no luck with the terriers last few seasons so wanna try something new . My pal has one and its as quiett as a mouse but a terrific watch on the yardup to yourself mate but there are real good terriers being bread here just need get in with the right lads

Mate id save your money ive had two them and these where from top stuff both never made the grade and the noise they make is on real like a squealing child 30 minute wonders if you ask me

There will be no looking back for them now many couple yous hunting at the minute

Only one out of the 3 has showed any intrested round a mark but they are only first season dogs

Each person will have there own views but i find the welsh type does very well for the ground i hunt

The more they get round holes they will soonlearn not go to far ive the up most respect for anyone who hunt fox with harriers ive tryed it at the very start near put me in a mental home could nt control them they would riot on anything that moved but then i never had them all from pups give me my easy controled foxhound they may not hunt as hard as the harrier or have they voice but i sleep easy after a days hunting

The welsh seem to mark well but ive seen some very good fell types and english marking Alot hounds will mark but its getting the one that makes alot of noise you find a good one like that you will get the rest the pack marking in no time

Do you give them much work round holes i find gets them marking i went from one till most them marking in one season how do you find the harriers you not have hassel with them hunting hares

Where about you from mate did yous get the two that went to ground i had the same problem lot of years ago bitch got killed we went two seasons with no marking dog near killed me

They are out my old welsh dog so hope they workout as would like to put him over a couple of bitches next year

We had acouple of harrier crosses but i found them abit harder to control and alot harder to stop them rioting on hare but then again i never had them from pups at the minute ive 3 young welsh harrier cross that im entering for a friend as he keep the full litter of 11 two are steady enough one is rabbit mad but ill get that out of him but they are shaping up well

He is in northern ireland im sure he would nt be stuck for people to take out but theres no better feeling digging your own dog
