  8. poor old pat and her husband are both dead, the busines closes 1997 . although there son stuart still makes knives they are leauge apart stuart is a world class maker and only uses the best of anything and he is very very skilled guy .prices starte at about £350 the pat mitchel that paulus showed looked very very differant and the finish was poor and i could never get an edge on it . so i totaly re worked it and now its much much better . they retailed in the £55 to£100 range from what i understand but probably collectable with the history of it , is the sheath horible ? nice gift tho !!

  20. ok guys busy week here for me again . lst week mas production this week finnished knives of a slightly higher calibre ! first job of the week socks sent this knife for a refurb . bit of elbow grease and some leather work later . the pitting is permanant so they had to stay where they are as the metal is thin as is , i did a wet form sheath with antique look . then was on to this bushcrafter , its not full sized and would suit a smaller hand, lads/ ladies although it does fit in my hand and is safe , its very sharp and sports my own burl oak handles with brass pins and lanya
  21. when i trained a s a keeper i was showed how to do it with out a knife using the teeth of the rabbit !! i cant do it tho , ha i know there is an obsession for small knives for rabbits but i like a larger knife capable of more as the situation arise , i want to be able to brest a pigeon , neck gut a deer or skin a fox all from the one feild knife . before i trained as a keeper i did a full aprenticship as a butchers , we bopught from market live and went right through to plate , so maybe its down to that that i like a larger knife ?
  22. il photo the lot today guys , iv been up sinc 5am so should get finnished on most stuff in a few hours . there has been lots of intrest already in everything iv made this week , i should have said i have a medium bushcrafter with beautiful burl oak handle brass pins and lanyard tube and a proper sheath with brass fittings to articulate it also, it not a full size knife its safe in my big old fat hands but would suit a smaller hand , lads junior or ladies hand and it is beautiful and a proper bush knife as the spec of allen woods / ray mears original spec .
