  1. Not trying to slag you aswell mate, but what difference do you think a liner makes regarding carbon getting into the room? I have closure plate, fully sealed and the flue pipe fully sealed

  3. A lot of people, convincing customers they need liners, so they get more £££ off the job
  4. My house is council built, prob around the 1950s and had a masonary chimney, designed for tKen smoke & fumes away from the originl open fires. I had 3 installers round fir quotes, and all 3 said no need for liner

  6. I dont get good seal either pal. Also the back firebrack cracked, and bent the grate... Probably with burning coal on full roar? My own fault I suppose. But yeh, nice n cheap, and fires plenty heat out
  7. Well whatever it is, I think its the best av used. & ive used oak, larch, birch, holly, pine, Its heated me full room up quick as feck. Looks like il have to go find some more the wind is up, maybe 1 will blow over tonight

  11. It split easy Paid. but the 'bark' was like a tough paper. You can see it one one of the logs, has started to peel, when I pulled them apart.

  13. I got a cheap one, £120 it wasnt a dslr, but a 'bridge' it does the job, its Fujifilm finepix or something. Its got a giod zoom, and does me for a quick pic or the dogs & their nights catch

  17. I did a shift down Norfolk. Albeit I had a snooze from Norfolk to Derby as a passenger, but from there back to Cumbria, the task of driving was all mine, with only the radio as company. I drank 6 cans of red bull & 1 relentless, that evening but as I was passing Wigan I had the urge to sleep! I had to drop to 50mph sitting behind a wagon, windows wide open & blowers on cold. Really, I should of pulled in for a kip, but I overcome the tiredness. Late night lamping shifts can be dangerous, in more ways than one. So lads if you need to pull in for a sleep, do it.   20. Well done lads on the night out. I have the litter brother to derbylads Xena. Tyson. And he seems to be a natural retriever too.   21. Me & GH headed out wit tyson & bess. As per the usual we started slow, getting 4, thid was on the same spot we had 51 last month! There were a few lamps flying around though! We moved on and picked out anither 2. I thought fek going home with 6 although my belly was becoming increasingly unsettled! We chanced upon another spot picking out 7. Making 13.
