Now anybody will tell you, that as far as snares concerned im pretty shite. But i was walking dog the other day and a lad pulled up and came over and we had a bit talk. He said he does a bit snaring, so i asked him to show me how he sets them, i handed him one of my peg wires, that i have courtesy of Woodga. Straight away he told me loop was too big, curious i let him continue, he pulled the snare through the eye of the tealer till the loop was no bigger than a small persons clenched fist. Now there's a surprise How much? I'm currently buying swivels like yours for 47 pence each seems like a lot of money for a bit of twisted fence wire, but I can't find a tidy way of making my own. Q Acquire some fence wire, make your own. even if they dont look tidy.... the fox ain't gonna give a shit is he????? Also P&G, how much your fox wires selling for?

Anybody know where i can find a website that will tell me the "book price" for commercial vehicles. If not any idea what would be a good price for a Citroen Relay 1.9D SWB Vreg. There is one for sale at a local dealers for £2995+VAT seem's a good price.

One of mine should be fully in season by now. The other two are just starting to come in. Im going to put 2 of them (1 polecat with white 'bib' and 1 albino) over my sandy hob. And the other polecat will just go over my vaesectomised hob.

I usually find it depends on the situation whether i use the long or purse nets. A few months back i was ferreting 2 hedgerows on my own, in a field by the roadside, so it wasnt too bad carting the longnets up there. The first dyke was around 40 yards long and i used four ferrets. I came off that dyke with only 5 rabbits, one of the hobs had a rabbit at a hole and the bunny bolted with the hob still on him, i missed one or two where i ran out of long net and couldn't arc it back into the dyke. . seen a 2001Y Citroen relay for £2000 with 80000miles on. Anybody any idea how much i would get for a Fiat Scudo 1998R 75000 miles mot for 8 months tax for 3 months shelving unit to the rear of the seats, acting as a bulkhead roof racks with two spotlights (driving lights come on with full beam) I was thinking around £2500,

I would say that sounds about right, but i aint no plumber. There is a bleeding device you can pick up for about a fiver with a water container so no mess.

Why don't you just buy complete ferret food. saves all the mess with carcasses. I often Give them rabbit leg and the backs when i am running out of freezer room.

I always carry an even number of 5 footers, so if i have 3 holes covered, i can have spares pegged next to them ready to flip over after a bolt.

Traditionaly hazel stakes were used, but many people now use the fibreglass poles, I agree the ones from Magnum are fantastic poles, but if your tight-fisted like me, you wont pay for them. An alternative is the poles from brinded at £1.75 each for a 2'6" or £2.25 for 1 meter. I use a mixture of hazel and aluminium for my traditional nets, but fibreglass poles on my quickset nets. Try a steel stockholders, you should get a 4 meter length of alumiunium 3/8" round for about £8, i got 5 poles out of a 4 meter length, they are 3 foot long. I had problem with mine. I had it on SEARCH and it was reading fine but on the LOCATE scale. I had it on LOCATE and it was reading crap, i had collar 2 foot below locater and it was off the scale. Sent it back to deben and it was a loose magnet? It works fine now.

I would always reccomend keeping a hob, or two, as when you work hobs, they cna shift the stubborn rabbits and can take a few more kicking's than a jill. I personally have two hobs, and two good jills.

Me and two mates set off about 7:15 this morning to a bit of permission 25 miles away. I dont really remember details about the sets as the rabbits were bolting fast and furious, we had a 4 foot dig, 3x 1 foot dig and a 1.5 foot dig. Two sets we done we had 8 from each, we had a couple of 2's, 3's and 4's. Totalling 42 for the day, got a bit of action on the vid. cam, and im awaiting my mate to email me pictures
