    a good lurcherman will be picky about where he works his dogs. If your running over rocky. or bumpy ground (when it's hard) is asking for trouble. You get a lot of young lads (about 14-15yr old) round my way that run there dogs anywhere. they dont have a clue. I have even seen my uncle run his dogs over rock solid, or stoney ground... im very picky of where i'll run my dog. I like nice flat green fields, which is lucky cos most my permission is so...

    my greyhound x saluki x whippet hits the dykes. I sometimes have to close my eyes. He is another accident waiting to happen...... the joys of having dogs.

    You wont go wrong with a 1/2 collie 1/2 greyhound I personally wouldnt go for anything with saluki in it ever again. Most my mates have/had dogs with saluki in it, and mine has 1/3 saluki in it. And they make ignorant b@stards

    they were all neck snared. all rabbits were alive. The hare deed... Just rmemberd. On of my fence wires this morning was snapped. Could of been a hare.... or would he not be travelling through a fence fast enough to snap it?

    Any lads wanna work out how long ya lamp will last... for exampl using a 12v 100w bulb will pull 8.3 Amps so using a 16ah battery you will get just under 2 hours continuos use Wattage / Voltage (100wbulb / 12vbulb) = 8.3 AMPS 16 AH battery / 8.3AMPS = 1.92 so im thinking of geting a 75 w bulb which will give me 2 & a half hours.

    Would always advise you to have your dog eating it while its there. Not pick at it when he wants,. If you left him a bowl of food all day and he eats it... it turns windy wanna go lamping, you cant run him...... :sick:

    What about the wire i set on that bend, then moved it. The first one i set before we made all them peg's up???? Jake Bull No chance, im a long long long way off being anywhere as skilled as Mr. Gun He is a very skilled man who could easily put the warrener to shame

    I had my wires out last night, picked them up this morning. Only got four rabbits & 1 hare out of about 30 wires. Not bad going considering it was a still night. The hare was taken out of a snare, set for a hare. I had no wires knocked so the rabbits just can't of been out. I have just snared a sand quarry nearer to home. 22 wires. 8 out in the field, 10 on the fence. and 4 on the other side of the fence on a little banking - similar to the set i took that rabbit jumping the beck at P&G's. Should go well if the rain picks up again. Photo's coming soon

    carrying 60 odd peg wires and 20 hoops was enough for me without a bloody big battery..... not that i set them all, as i say the beats were hard to find and good fields were full of stock. I did set 2 hoop snares for Hare's though

    Had a few wires out, set them this morning. Didnt get as many out as i'd liked as the beats were real hard to see. and the decent fields had stock in. any way snared a fence around a small plantation. Checked them just on dusk tonight and had three in the wire's. none knocked. No photos due to my camera being a load of shite and the batteries running out again!

    I bred my small light coulered polecat against my sandy hob approx. 20th march & my albino against the same hob about 2 week's later. The polecat is approx. 4 weeks gone, so kit's coming in a few weeks, good oppurtunity for some pictures.

    black eyed whites they are called mate..... red eyes = albino The black eyes will be a reccesive gene, meaning if both the mother & father have that gene somewhere in the line, it is quite possible for the kits to have black eyes. My 3rd ever littler was an albino cross black eyed sandy & I had a mixture of black eyes & albino's in the litter ....

    really enjoyed my two day's out with P&G TOP MAN !! also met woodga & Peter The beater. top men! got 14 altogether, P&G will put pic's up when he gets a chance. We set another 15odd 'unusual' snares in woodland, i'm sure Peg will let us know how we got on...
