  1. Ive had the company of these wee chaps for the last couple of weeks.. They have taken up residence in the staircase up to my office at work...If they stay any longer, I'll need to get them a work permit and site induction Getting fed every 20-30 seconds by mum and dad at the moment, I hope to get a better photo before they leave the nest!!

  5. Never seen a badger take a lamb..but i have seen plenty of badgers in the lamp, and let me tell you ..they are not a slow animal by any means. They can have a hell of a turn of speed! So physically, I would say they are more than capable!!

  9. Remember the old addage... If it appears too good to be true......it often is.. Especially at those prices.
  10. Perhaps you should just clarify that. Whilst .243 MAY be physically capable of taking down a wild boar it is not legally capable of taking down a wild boar, given it does not fall in the min calibre status laid down by the home office. Although I know where your coming from...
  11. Thanks for the info Mike. The fan is on spacers, but I will space it further away from the end wall. Air circulation doesn't feel too bad to be honest... I had thought to put two light bulbs in.. I will alter accordingly, put them in parallel.. that should do the trick, Especially if I can find these reliable reptile bulbs. I have to agree though.. I do think they were infertile..Thanks again for the info!!matty
  12. Yes, eggs turned three times a day at 8 hour intervals. But the light bulb could do with being more reliable, that's a fact! I'll see if I can find one. cheers matty
  13. Yes there were air holes, but on advice given, they were only opened on day 18 prior to hatching??? (Bad advice maybe??)
  14. So..My incubator failed on day 21 due to bulb failure.. I assumed i killed my chicks, but left it another 3 days and ...nothing!! So i cracked open all the eggs and they were all just yolks, not spots or embryo's. Now my first thought was they are infertile... The supplier of the eggs says not?? What else could have gone wrong? Any comments on the incubator are welcome?? It was a home build? This was during construction, for an overview.. It was set at 37.5 degress, with a water bowl, and a circulation fan.
