    carp rods are ideal it what i use to do all my bass fishing with . 2.5 test curve was plenty to chuck out a 3oz weight with a couple of peelers on the end.

    when the moons out theres no need for a torch. its like daylight when your eyes get used to it. . . when I get a signal I use a little headtorch .

    something that is lost will be given back to you after its been threw all the legal bullshite something like a hoard is belived to been stashed and the owner would of picked it up at a later date would be declared as treasure you would still get money to split with the land owner but you would probs get a rubbish price I hope my ring is returned so it can go threw a proper auction house like christys in London.

    I took the ring to torquay museum yesterday and he thinks its medieval Not the roman I wanted but still a really nice find. . ive tried my hardest to put a picture up but keep failing.

    yes newkid theres plenty of plaice on the skerries best day we had was 124 in a 8hr trip . only 30 were keepers. there are talks on the skerries being policed and I think something like 10 plaice per fisherman I think it should be a no go zone for a year and see what its like then

    I fish the skerries a lot mate and fishing aint like it used to be. had a few 3lber this year and hear of the odd 5lber but majority of fish is around the 1.5lb mark . fishing the wrecks just off startpoint are producing some cracking ling at the moment tho and hopefuly the weather isn't to bad for this Saturday so we can get out there agin.

    took my xp goldmaxx power out for its first outing last week and found a gold ring. its yet to be confirmed but I think its roman and worth a fair few quid. ive also found a 8 reales and a roman coin weight. still waiting for are local finds leason officer to get back to me about the ring im still buzzing.
