    Hey guys I'm attempting having a go at putting my own long net together.(quickset). I've just bought 200 yards of 4z sheet netting so now im after the braided running line for top and bottom what thickness do I need and where's the best place to get it from. Many thanks 8shot.

    Well as always I either go watch the local hunt go out or go ferreting. I've heard for years about people saying they have bolted a fox while ferreting and today this just happened to me The hole was just a normal size rabbit hole so really wasn't expecting it and my lad absolutely shat himself when it come out, We ended the day with one rabbit and one fox not bad for a 3 hole bury ?

    I've heard it has put A lot of anglers off. But the benefits of them taking it over there's twice as many bailiffs about day and night so fishing should remain good for the next generation. I went in to gerrysangling today and he said it's fishing it's nuts off at the moment. Typical I'm back to work tomoz till Sunday. ?

    Good man thanks for the advice.. I was fishing the right hand side of the slipway and popped a herring right in front of a converted life boat.. . A lad called Keith who was there with his dad helped me out.. also chatting his old man said I could go ferreting with him as have no land up here at all.

    Had a trip to glasson dock armed with some herring and writhin a couple of hours I bagged myself my first pike. I called over another fisherman and he shown me the correct way to handle the fish for unhooking. (Beer owned)? Unfortunately I don't have any scales so I don't no the weight altho I'm pretty certain it's over double figures. . Anyway guys thanks for looking and enjoy the pic.

    Thanks tilly . I went and got some reels today shimano 10000 they are a bit large but will do. . I also got some rig making gear wire trace crimps pliers etc. Letting the lad have a day off tomoz as I'm on weekends so hopefuly get him to land a pike too. Cheers.

    Thanks ks for the input guys. Well I've decided my bass rods will be perfect for the pike but the reels I've got are well and truly knackered. I've been looking at shimano bait runners but what size should I get? Also it will be dead bait fishing I have a major craft spinning rod that I've used for bass in the past it wouldn't have enough guts for the river where I'll be fishing but think it will be ok on some of the open waters. Do you guys make your own wire traces or buy them already made also what breaking strain should I use. Regards.

    As above minelab explorer xs it's in well used condition plenty of scratches and dinks but built like a tank and working perfectly It has a rain cover included and comes with a normal battery holder. And a lithium battery for a little extra but this will need a charger £20 from eBay the lithium and charger was £100 new I just can't find the charger. This is pick up only and wanting £200 which is a bargain.

    Fancy a change so here up for shops is my 1.77 tweaky regged s200 mk2 but with a mk3 stock. It has 4 x 10 shot mags the gun shoots spot on altho it does need a loading bolt seal which has never bothered me The gun shoots perfectly as you would expect from a regged gun. I'm wanting to swop with something with a higher shot count No bsa super 10s tho I can email pics on request. Thanks for looking,

    Not done lamping with a air rifle for years I had a old deben tracer back then. Wanted something that's going to last 3/4 and not break the bank. Cheers,
